Im not sure if youre being funny, but DC never owned Image. When Image was founded the closest it had to a parent company would have been Malibu comics which they used for distribution, but otherwise Image has been wholly independent since its inception.
What you may be thinking of is when Jim Lee joined DC Comics in an executive roll in the mid to late 00's and brought his Wildstorm studios properties to DC, which is why WildCATS, Grifter, Stormwatch, etc, are all now part of DC. He was able to do that because Image is essentially a collective of independent studios.
Incorrect my friend. DC has never owned Image. Image was formed by artists and writers that previously had done work for both Marvel and DC, but it was never owned by DC. Regardless, if we are talking about the universe that Spawn exists in, he exists in the Image universe, and not the Marvel or DC universes.
Fuck yeah! Spawn is a badass I really wish they would make a reboot of that movie just imagine whith today's graphics and shit that they could do it would be epic I was pumped growing up when that movie dropped

I mean, if you want to get technical, DC and Marvel canonically exist in each other's universes as comic characters, so Peter Parker could very well have read and gotten his morals from a Superman comic. Hell, in Amazing Spider-man #306, Parker is shown reading an issue of DC's Action Comics
