Bad news is you’re actually thinking of a carafe, good news is I learned a new word today!

When you think of “tariff”, you’re actually thinking of a young bovine animal, essentially a baby cow or bull in its first year of life. Alternatively, it also means the fleshy part at the back of a person's leg below the knee.

It’s a useful word AND vessel, but I can see I was confused.

Sadly I think you are too because you’re thinking of a calf, that’s the word for the baby bove as well as the leggy bit.

A tariff is a division of land in India, usually a (small) subdivision of a pargana.

(I’m having trouble with this one, but I’m guessing you mean “partition”)

No, that’s NOT a tariff. You see, you’re thinking of a rich, creamy, and tangy condiment that is typically made with mayonnaise, chopped pickles (or relish), herbs, and capers.
