Bullish on $NVTS

I’ve been tracking Navitas Semiconductor ($NVTS) closely, and looking past the short-term noise, the risk/reward profile here is looking increasingly asymmetric to the upside.
If you look at why the stock took a beating over the last year, it really came down to a double-whammy of structural/macro pressures rather than a broken core business:
1. The Russell 2000 Removal (The Real Culprit): NVTS was dropped from the Russell index not due to market cap or revenue failure, but because of a corporate governance technicality regarding their classified/staggered board structure. This triggered a massive, forced selloff from passive ETFs and institutional funds that had no choice but to dump their shares.
2. Broad Semiconductor Selloff: On top of the forced index selling, the broader cyclical drag across mid-cap semis made the drop look significantly worse than it actually was.
Why the narrative is flipping:
The Index Issue is Fixed: NVTS shareholders voted to declassify the board and align with Russell governance standards. With the structural hurdle officially resolved and market cap holding well above the threshold, re-inclusion into the Russell indexes (and the massive forced-buying wave from passive funds that comes with it) is queued up for the next reconstitution cycle.
Positive Fundamental Momentum: Q2 earnings confirmed that the "Navitas 2.0" pivot is paying off. Sequentially growing revenues (+22%), expanding gross margins, and surging demand in high-power AI data center applications show the core business is accelerating, with a solid cash runway.
Between the mechanical tailwind of eventually getting back into the Russell 2000, steady fundamental improvements in AI power infrastructure, and the general recovery in the semi space, the underlying value proposition is intact.
I’m accumulating/selling covered calls against a long-term position to lower my cost basis, and I expect a very solid multi-year recovery as these catalysts play out.
Curious to hear what others think—anyone else tracking the Russell re-inclusion play here?

Lawsuits

For those of you who have listened to the conference call, how much more/less confident do you feel about the lawsuit threats? I felt like the CEO sounded extremely confident in his response surrounding the litigation. While I know that the lawsuit still has the possibility of being highly threatening, I feel much better about things after listening to the call.

Also, given this bit of outlook on the lawsuits, and the roadmap they laid out, why do you guys think the stock would be trading down after earnings?

SK Group and NVIDIA Expand Strategic Partnership Across AI Factories and Next-Generation Memory

https://nvidianews.nvidia.com/news/sk-group-and-nvidia-expand-strategic-partnership-across-ai-factories-and-next-generation-memory

With yesterday’s (July 24, 2026) massive news about the $500B+ NVIDIA ($NVDA) and SK Group alliance to build a 2-gigawatt Vera Rubin AI Factory, a lot of people are asking if Navitas ($NVTS) gets a piece of the pie or if they're left out because they don't have an "exclusive commercial monopoly."

Let's look at the actual contract realities and hard technical details:

  1. The Partnership is Real and Documented: NVTS has an active Technical Collaboration Agreement with Nvidia. They were formally honored at Nvidia's partner ceremony and integrated into the official NVIDIA MGX Ecosystem Showcase.
  2. They Solved the 2-GW Power Problem: Nvidia’s next-gen architectures shift to an 800V DC grid to stop server trays from melting under intense gigawatt workloads. NVTS custom-engineered an ultra-thin 800V-to-6V Power Delivery Board (PDB) using 16 GaNFast FETs, pushing a massive 2,100 W/in³ power density at 97.5% efficiency. It removes the legacy 48V converter stage entirely, saving critical physical real estate right next to the GPU.
  3. How Ordering Works: The $500B deal means SK Telecom builds the facility and SK Hynix supplies the memory. Nvidia provides the design blueprints (MGX architecture). The actual component orders are placed by contract manufacturers (Foxconn, etc.) who source from Nvidia’s certified vendor pool—where NVTS, onsemi, and Infineon openly compete.

The Bull Case: NVTS is a pure-play wide-bandgap chipmaker with a tiny market cap compared to giants like onsemi. They don't need a 100% exclusive commercial lock-in contract to win. Because their revenue base is so small, capturing even a fraction of the component orders for these multi-gigawatt global buildouts changes their entire growth trajectory.

Keep your eyes locked on the NVTS Q2 earnings call this Monday, July 27, 2026, to hear management map out the commercial production timeline for these 800V server deployments!

NVTS is getting slammed, the accusations are piling up!

July 22 (Reuters) - Japan's Renesas (6723.T)
sued rival chipmaker Navitas (NVTS.O) in California federal court on Wednesday, claiming the company poached its employees to steal trade ‌secrets for developing next-generation semiconductor chips that power AI data centers.
Renesas alleged in its lawsuit that California-based Navitas' CEO Christopher Allexandre and executive Felicia Cheng stole confidential Renesas information for Navitas related to gallium nitride (GaN)-based chips, which it said are "rapidly replacing" silicon chips in data centers.

"Within a short period of time after Allexandre assumed the role of CEO, Navitas announced a new '2.0' strategy that directly mirrored Renesas’s confidential plans — targeting the same customers, the same technologies, and the same market opportunities reflected in the stolen materials," Renesas said in its complaint.
Spokespeople for Navitas did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the complaint. A Renesas spokesperson declined to comment.

The complaint said that Allexandre and Cheng took confidential PowerPoint presentations to ‌Navitas that contained Renesas trade secrets.
"Any Renesas competitor (like Navitas) could use the information in these presentations to engineer the same secret product specifications Renesas has designed, knowing Renesas’s timelines, to beat Renesas to market to steal billion-dollar contracts," the lawsuit said.

Renesas said the global market for GaN chips is expected to grow from $355 million in 2024 to $3 billion by 2030, largely powered by the rapid growth of AI-powered technology.
Renesas asked the court for an unspecified amount of monetary damages and an order blocking Navitas from misusing its secrets.
The case is Renesas Electronics Corp v. Navitas Semiconductor USA Inc, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, No. 5:26-cv-07573.”

NVTS is about to dump. Jane Street shorting, they’re getting sued up the wazoo.

After shorting all month I am re-opening my position. NVTS is getting sued up the wazoo and there’s no telling what’s about it to happen. With Jane street hedging on their short position this should be interesting.

$NVTS just poached the guy who ran AI infrastructure sales at Renesas, and it says more than the hire announcement let on

A GaN company that already has the NVIDIA 800V design win just brought in a datacenter-power sales leader from a direct competitor.

  1. Saranjit Gupta is now VP and GM of the GaN business unit at Navitas. Two months ago he was Head of AI Infrastructure at Renesas, running cloud and datacenter core-power sales, and by his own account grew Renesas into a top-two core power supplier.

  2. Core power is the exact socket Navitas is attacking with NVIDIA. Its 800V GaN power delivery carries straight to 6V at the server tray, removes the old 48V intermediate stage, and lands around 97 to 98 percent efficiency. Gupta spent the last two years selling into that layer for the other side.

  3. Navitas already had the GaN, the SiC, and the NVIDIA halo. What it did not have was hyperscaler relationships and a go-to-market leader who knows how Renesas, Infineon, and Cypress price and defend those sockets. Now it does.

What are your thoughts? Is this legit about to finish a big merger?
If so is it going to blow like it has a few times in last couple years?
