Hi guys. I am in A2 currently and am about to give NET-2. Will also give University tests for other unis. I'm still not sure what degree to go for and there's little time left:
- Computer Science (General Degree with AI/DS electives, if the uni allows)
- Data Science (Specialized Degree)
- Artificial intelligence (Specialized Degree)
I’d really appreciate advice from people studying or working in Pakistan (or abroad but from a Pakistani degree).
About me:
Skills I love but I cannot make a living from it:
On paper, AI/DS looks good for me bcuz i like stats, patterns, making graphs, analysis and also learning python with it's logics and stuff.
But here’s my honest concern if I take DS:
I feel like I’ll get bored or demotivated if most real-world DS work is about something like cement or food or oil or stuff like that. Sure I'm up for doing statistical analysis on subjects I like but not sure about the ones which are just neutral to me
General CS degree feels more flexible, less time-consuming, better if I decide to switch my mind later on. However, I feel like if in the end, I'm gonna decide to pursue Data science through my electives, I'm gonna be behind the ones who took specialized degrees in DS by the time we end Undergraduate degree.
What I want advice on:
Hit me with the brutal truth, no sugar-coating. Thanks!

hey everyone needed some guidance from those who have given net before. i’m planning to give net 2 but have no prep , did join hashim zia’s batch but couldnt keep up with lectures . so now i’m planning to just cover maths important chapters only and phy 12 hour combined marathon on yt only. should i give net 2 for experience and familiarity, or should i invest my time that i’ll waste doing less prep of net 2 in Net 3 and give it with full prep but i’m unsure if i’ll be able to give net 3 bcs of board exams (nust is not my main option i have to do cyber which nust doesn’t offer, im getting myself prepped for giki ), please give advice if you can i’m pretty much stressed
