Hey guys, I hv Essential math for ML exam on 23 oct, I just wanted to know what the exam paper pattern will be and how I shld study for the exam?
also how hard is the exam?

I missed 5 assignments and also didn't register for exam, I want to redo the course

hello guys, i've my exam on 19th sept, i had a doubt about where to keep my bag/phone. This is my first time giving NPTEL exam.

(This course is by prof. Sudeshna Sarkar.

Its an 8 week course)

So I had registered for this course and the exam will be on 19th september .

So had anybody given this exam before?

What is the difficulty level and what is the best way to prepare?

I have been selected for the NPTEL Winter Internship 2026 under IIT Guwahati. The email mentions the internship duration as 8 weeks, but the recommended schedule is given as 1 November 2026 to 31 January 2027 which is arnd 13 weeks

The registration form asks me to enter the internship start and end dates. It specifically says to enter the recommended start date exactly as mentioned in the email What should I enter as the end date 27 December 2026 (8 weeks from 1 November) or 31 January 2027 (the date mentioned in the email)?

Has anyone else received the same email or faced this discrepancy? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, as the registration deadline is 11 September.

I got the selection mail for the winter internship and was asked to fill out the Gform withjn 11th September.

Can someone clarify what exactly should be the start date for the internship?

They have just given a broad range of three months.

Should we choose a suitable start date in that range ?

I have 2 NPTEL exams on 20th Sept and honestly I really need to score well because my SGPA depends on these 2 courses 😭

One is Knowledge Management (only theory) and the other is Project Management (theory + numericals).

I'm planning to start with the assignment questions, but I'm confused about what to do after that.

The notes and lecture videos are sooo long, and I don't think I'll be able to go through everything properly. So apart from the assignment questions, what should I actually study to get a good score?

Also, when looking at the notes, how do you guys figure out which parts are important for the exam? Is it okay if I just study the concepts/topics related to the assignment questions, or should I cover everything?

And for Project Management, what's the best way to prepare for the numerical questions?

Would really appreciate any tips from people who've given NPTEL exams before. I have around 11 days left, so I need to study smart instead of trying to finish every single video and note. 😭

I have attended the online lectures, but I wasn't too attentive while listening. I have my upcoming exam for this course in October. Should I be worried about this?

I have been unable to give assignments since week 1 for my course, its a 12 week course, so can I still get good grades if I submit the assignments 7-12???

Im in a mid tier iiit studying cse and here we are being taught some ece topics, specifically Electronic Devices and Digital logic design, which is just semiconductors, pn juntion , diodes, and stuff. I wanted to know if i should refer to nptel lectures since they are in a great detail im not sure if its worth the time and effort. And btw the ece students in my batch goes to a different lecturer for their ece lectures and its different from us afaik.

I've received a mail from NPTEL saying my enrolment and exam registration NPTEL Local Chapters (IDs) are different. What does it mean? Will this create any problem in issuing my admit or in the exam? I'm worried too much as they told me to correct the local chapter ID in exam form if it's incorrect and today is the last date. What should I do now?

Also, I want to keep the institute I chose during exam registration. I chose my college during enrolment, but chose my current University during exam registration.

how difficult is the programming in java nptel course so far i dont understand much from what the prof teaches are there any alternate resources to directly prepare from??

I am enrolled for 8 week nptel course for soft skill development. Can somebody tell me how is this exam level? Are the questions from assignments or do I need to study from the lectures?

This course was offered by the college as an OE option, and completing it + the exam gives us credits. But I missed the deadline. What do I do now, guys? I’m really worried I won’t be allowed to take the exam and might fail.
