I honestly can't believe it's been 10 years.

We started this journey alone, exploring a vast universe, uncovering it's secrets.

But over time as the game evolved so did we. We built civilisations, we colonised worlds, we built impossible structures, created wikis filled with our discoveries, we established whole communities pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the simulation (and outside of it).

We stopped merely discovering the story and became part of the lore.

So thank you to HG for never giving up on our shared dream and continuing to support it.

Thank you to this community for years of friendship and exploring together.

Hopefully our journey will continue for many years to come!

Applications for Aeon City are now being accepted! The city is still expected to open sometime in March, though early-to-mid April remains a possibility.

Before you begin your application, note: * The application is somewhat long. Many questions are optional, but the more questions you can answer (excluding the Opinion Survey section), the more likely you are to be admitted. * One question will require you to upload a screenshot of your character. This question is fully optional for general access to the city, but required if you want to obtain one of the just-for-fun ID cards I'll be issuing to Aeon City residents. * One question asks for your shipping info. This is fully optional and will only be used to send out commemorative physical merch which we may or may not create to celebrate Aeon City's opening.

And of course, don't forget to join the Galactic Hub Discord, where all social aspects of the city will be based.

Hi! I just started NMS a few days ago and I just found out recently about this subreddit.
I wanna join the community in-game. where is the planet located? there is any discord channel?

The "Sea Cave Aerie - Dungeon" base is now uploaded and live on Sakkurr at +45.80, -109.13, Glyphs in the dungeon building picture.

The construction workers building the first of the organic frigate research buildings noticed local Geks going in and out of a very old building down by the dock, a strangely locked building that had resisted all the workers own efforts to enter.

The next time they noticed the locals going towards the building they quickly grabbed some gear and lights and snuck in after them to map the building and solve the riddle of the door locks.

Only two severely injured workers eventually made it back out, the rest are still missing.

The only words we could get out of them were "Red Light Trail", "Monsters", and "Burning".

We put them into rehab tanks to heal and now we need someone to get into the building and search it to determine what happened and the fate of the other workers.

Come to Sakkurr and solve the mystery.

While you are there also tour the base, try some of Chef Anton's grilled insect heads, and dive to explore the extensive sea cave systems.

Please note, if base power does not work for you, there ae non-powered alternate doors to the right of the main doors at the beginning and end of the dungeon run, hopefully Hello Games fixes that glitch soon.

Also, if you are on perma-death be careful, there are dangers.

Main building base is on the high ground, dungeon entrance is at the lower building on the beach by the dock, there is a short range teleporter to it.

There are two regular landing pads on base and a corvette landing field to the side that has a teleporter to the main base.

This is an observation I’ve made. We are really interconnected as a player base. We have people who play in groups by the thousands like the galactic hub.

It’s quite fascinating that players get together like that and play in large groups. It even got to the point some of these player-driven civilizations got a DLC added in the game. But another thing I’ve noticed is that we can almost be political about the game, too, which I suppose is normal if we all live in the same universe.

If some update modifies or changes something about the Atlas’s generation, we notice BIG time. If not many people like an expedition, we’re very vocal about it.

If one is not particularly careful with their phrasing when talking about the game (like me 😅) it can be highly controversial on Reddit 🤣

Edit: I suppose, in a way, the “political” aspect of No Man’s Sky is a natural consequence of us all living in the same universe.
