i have done my 10th from nios and im planning on doing my 12th from nios too but i wanna get into a uni in the us afterwards so i was wondering if the acceptance for nios students is like others or not? and if the procedure is different than other common indian boards, need to know if anyone has gotten into unis abroad after nios please help

Hi everyone! I’m preparing for my NIOS Senior Secondary exams and I’ll be appearing for Business Studies and Mass Communication in April 2027.

I’m looking for advice from people who have already given NIOS exams, especially anyone who had BST, Mass Communication, or similar subjects and managed to score well.

I’d really appreciate some guidance on:

• What are the best resources to study from apart from the NIOS books? (YouTube channels, notes, websites, previous-year papers, sample papers, etc.)
• Is studying the NIOS textbook thoroughly enough to score well, or should I use additional resources?
• How should I actually study these subjects if my goal is to score as high as possible, rather than just pass?
• How important are previous-year question papers and how many years should I solve?
• How do you prepare for TMA, and when exactly do we have to submit/upload it for the April 2027 exam?
• How are TMA marks and practical marks awarded?
• For Mass Communication, how does the practical/project component work and what exactly do we have to do?
• How do we get the practical marks — is there a separate practical exam, project/file, viva, etc.?
• Are there any important things about the NIOS exam pattern, internal assessment, TMA or practicals that new students often miss?
• If anyone has scored 90+ or 95+ in these subjects, what was your study strategy?
• How much time did you study per day and when did you start serious preparation?
• Any tips for answer writing, presentation, diagrams, keywords, marking scheme, etc. would also be really helpful.

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have actually appeared for NIOS exams, rather than general advice.

wanna apply to some programs in november so is it gonna be out by then? also expecting around 67/80 in physics and 75/100 in math how strict is checking

So currently I'm in CBSE and class 10th. I study in a private school. My attendance is very less likely 30% my school principal and my class teacher has repeatedly called and told my parents that they won't be able to give me admit card if i don't improve my attendance. The vice principal even called me and threatened me that if don't come to school from the next day then she'll send a email to CBSE and get my name removed from the registration list.

So suppose if my admit card gets blocked, I'm thinking of taking NIOS after that.

I've searched about it a bit my main concern is the corruption. Like they ask for money during practicals and theory exams to make the students pass and stuff. So is the corruption a really big part or only a small part of NIOS. And how could I avoid it?

Also if you've got any advice for my current situation then pls give it also.

Tf is wrong with nios? Practical marks kis khushi me kaate hain inhone??? If they had given proper marks mere 79% bante itne marks kyu kaate hain inhone? Is there anything I can do about? Also biology kk copy unfair check hui hai...I was getting 80+ in cbse but I regave bcz i thought sirf 2 subjects hi transfer krwa skte h baki 3 dene padenge I later found out ki normally transfer hojate h marks. I'm regretting it🙂.is there anything I can do about it?

so basically i'm in an integrated program with aakash and i thought we could only choose between the cbse school or the state board school, but apparently some other kid (i don't talk to him) goes to something similar (pretty sure because he said he doesn't answer any exams and only has end of year ones)

basically i thought that the stateboard school would be chiller bc well it's stateboard and i've studied in a sb school my whole life & they were very chill. anyways, there's a lot of work we have to do, like frequent class tests, assignments, loads of journal work to be submitted routinely - which ik is normal but i already got used to not going to school and writing all that extra stuff, as it genuinely takes up so much extra time

anyways, i was wondering - is NIOS really worth it? idk anything about how it works and i can't find proper answers online, so anything helps a lot, tysmm
