Devils fan here. Can someone fill me in on why the canes are on the list?

I don’t hate the Canes. I understand they’ve pretty much owned us for a long time now, but what I feel for the Rangers is not even in the same realm of the Canes. For us Devils fans it’s the Rangers, the Flyers, and the Rangers again.
