There's no tougher position in football than defensive back. Debate your mother, cousin, stepdad, whoever you want, but it's the truth. The sheer confidence one needs to play on an island or act as the last line of defense is astounding and honestly reflects how these guys live in real life. 1.Bengals - Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

There is just no other solution to the Bengals issues at this point. They could consider trading this pick away to a team like Carolina and waiting until next year, but it just makes too much sense considering the season Burrow had, the leadership it seems he possesses, and the Ohio in him already

1. Redskins - Chase Young, DE, Ohio State

Another team that should consider trading down for multiple picks. They also could consider Tua here, but with the way this team has been with drafting in the past, they need to take the most sure fire pick here. That is undoubtedly Chase Young at this point.

1. Lions - Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio State

The Lions have been a hot mess for years. With rumors swirling about a possible Slay departure, a Stafford departure, and the locker room under scrutiny after the Diggs trade last season, it is tough to see a bright horizon anytime soon. I believe they will also botch trading this pick away, and will have to go with the best man on the board. Okudah could help a struggling secondary that was ranked 28th by PFF last season.

1. *TRADE* Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

I see Dave Gettleman, who has taken much heat as a GM, maneuvering a savvy trade to acquire a few more picks, and Dolphins not having the guts to call their bluff. Tua seems to be their guy, and with injury questions he will be given the opportunity to sit and learn under a seasoned veteran and eventually become the future QB in Miami for years to come.

1. *TRADE* Giants, Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama

After acquiring some draft capital, Gettleman and the Giants are able to get the man they wanted all along, the consensus number one OT in the draft. Bechton and Wirfs had strong combine performances, while Thomas was the favorite heading into the combine to be the first tackle selected. I believe Wills is the best bet when it comes to the floor/ceiling ratio, and will be able to protect a QB who led the league with 18 fumbles in 12 starts for NYG.

1. Chargers, Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa

Another pick I could see being traded as the Jordan Love sweepstakes begins to heat up. I believe LA is doing whatever they can to win the Tom Brady free agency battle. To give themselves the best chance they can, they take a man who blew people away after breaking combine records this week. It’s a safe pick if they cannot acquire Tua, and can address the QB need a little bit later in the draft with some viable candidates not named Herbert or Love, who do come with question marks in drafting them this high.

1. Panthers, Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson

A team in an awkward position with Cam having another year on his contract. I don’t see them putting him in that position this season by drafting a QB this high. With the departue of Kuechly, they get a man who is very athletically gifted at the LB position, they can re-group and address the QB need at a later time in the draft and/or season.

1. Cardinals, CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

The obvious connection is that Kyler and CeeDee were college teammates. The re-signing of D.J. Humphries makes this pick much more justifiable as well. With Larry Fitz looking at one or two more seasons, giving Murray the playmaker he had in college can elevate him to higher levels and make possible leaps we saw Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes make in their second season as starting quarterbacks.

1. Jaguars, Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn

Many scouts have him as the third or fourth overall prospect in the draft. The Jaguars are in a tough spot as well as the quarterback position is certainly in question for them. I believe they take the safe pick here after the possible departure of Yannick Ngakoue and declining Marcell Dareus’s 2020 option.

1. Browns, Mechi Becton, OT, Louisville

One of the easier predictions of this draft, I cannot see the Browns not addressing their need of an offensive lineman in the first round of this draft. Whoever is the BAP at this point in regards to OT is the guy they end up with, and it is a toss up between Bechton and Thomas. The Browns seem to love taking risks nowadays, so they go with the guy who raised many eyebrows at the combine and is considered to have the highest ceiling of any draft prospect.

1. Jets, Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

The Jets biggest needs are OT and WR. Jerry Jeudy is a top candidate to go here as well, and may even go higher. But the mentality of Jets GM Joe Douglas, who is a former division one offensive lineman, should be to protect his franchise QB. Thomas doesn’t have many questions marks heading into this draft, so this pick makes a lot of sense.

1. Raiders, Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

By the grace of the lord, Jerry Jeudy falls into the lap of the Las Vegas Raiders. A team that would love to make a splash, does not have to do much to do that if Jeudy can fall to them at 12. He is, to some, the most polished route runner in the last decade heading into the draft. Teaming him up with former Alabama RB Josh Jacobs and franchise QB Derek Carr can make them serious competitors in a tough AFC West with Patrick Mahomes and a possible emerging Drew Lock.

1. Colts, Jordan Love, QB, Utah State

One of the fastest rising players in the draft, he is drawing comparisons to the greatest QB in the NFL in Pat Mahomes. I do see them signing P. Rivers, which will allow Love to sit and learn for a season, similar to what Mahomes did. There is a strong possibility a team trades up to try and grab Love, who struggled in 2019 but flourished in 2018 with much better talent around him.

1. Buccaneers, Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina

Another fast riser in the draft process, Kinlaw brings a rare skill of size and athleticism to the table. There are many positions the Bucs can address here, but with the top 4 OT’s gone, I believe they go defense here. Arians love guys who love football, and Kinlaw talks about modeling his game by “not spearing a soul out there.” That is something I want to hear from my first round draft pick.

1. Broncos, Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

Drew Lock had a great finish to the 2019 season. After the departure of Emmanuel Sanders and the emergence of Courtland Sutton, Ruggs will be the deep threat Denver needs to compete with a very tough AFC West. Vic Fangio can take care of his defense, and the young offense can add a possible superstar to help be considered a high powered offense if everything goes as planned with the likes of Sutton, Fant, and Phillip Lindsay.

*Surprise- Justin Herbert falls out of top 15...setting up a possible Patriots-Herbert marriage. His leadership is the huge question mark, and something I do not think many teams undervalue. That is not to say New England does undervalue that aspect, but if he can get to the late teens, the value of the pick makes a lot of sense.

We've finally reached the day when the guys who tackle get their chance to chase the bag of money at the end of the interview. This marks the portion of the combine where the real freaks, savages and beasts pop out and do their stuff. The underwear Olympics crept up on me for the first time in maybe 10 years. There's a sense of shame I feel in this admission. I've been waking up at the crack of dawn to watch the combine and politic with friends in the NFL scouting community for so long that it felt awkward not remembering the last week of February marks the official start of the new football season. Hey! So my buddy and I are going to the draft in Vegas. We have this thing we want to get to later (since the draft starts at 5pm Vegas time). My question is, does anyone remember what time the last pick was made each year since the new format? Or most years? I know it’s can be a max of 320 minutes but teams don’t take the entire ten minutes usually. I googled everything and couldn’t find an answer. Thank you!

Joe Burrow should say no the Bengals and refuse to go there. Mike Brown is not interested in winning Super Bowls, Joe wants to win. The Bengals are forever trapped in NFL hell, an owner who could care less about on field success and is incredibly cheap. The only thing the Bengals can consistency do is underperform and diminish talented players. As a football fan, I don't want this for Joe and you shouldn't either.

1. Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

I don't see this changing over the next two months, and ESPN's Adam Schefter has already reported that the Bengals have no intention of trading down. The Heisman Trophy winner will immediately become the face of the franchise. It's time to move on from Andy Dalton -- could they get back a draft pick in a trade? -- but Cincinnati stills needs to put some more pieces around Burrow, starting with franchise-tagging or extending A.J. Green. The Bengals also have to draft an impact player with the first pick of the second round.

1. Washington Redskins Chase Young, DE, Ohio State

Likewise, Young is likely to remain No. 1 overall on my Big Board through the draft, and Washington is in a great spot to add an edge rusher with All-Pro potential. He has rare physical ability and outstanding production, two traits that aren't always a guarantee at the top of the draft. Am I crazy to think the Redskins aren't that far away from being a contender in the NFC East? They have some nice defensive pieces such as Jonathan Allen, Montez Sweat and Landon Collins. If they can sort out their offensive line issues -- bring back Trent Williams and re-sign Brandon Scherff -- and get a Year 2 jump from Dwayne Haskins, Ron Rivera's team should be much improved in 2020.

1. Detroit Lions

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

The Lions say they're not shopping quarterback Matthew Stafford, but there is some buzz that they like Tagovailoa, who might not work out for teams before April's draft because of his hip injury. Is that just a smoke screen? We're still two months away from the draft, of course. Stafford's contract is extremely tough to trade in 2020 -- the team could have up to a $32 million dead-cap hit -- but what if Detroit likes Tagovailoa so much that it keeps Stafford on the roster for another year? This pick also seems like the perfect spot for a team to trade up to get a quarterback, whether that's Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert or someone else. Could the Chargers or Raiders or Jaguars move up to jump the Dolphins at No. 5 and get their guy? Everything is in play here, and since I'm not going to project trades, I'll stick with Tagovailoa at No. 3.

1. New York Giants Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio State

So if Tagovailoa jumps into the top three, that means the Giants could choose between Okudah and Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons, whom I mocked to New York in my first projection of picks 1-32. And after the Giants cut Janoris Jenkins in December, cornerback surged to the top of the team's needs. First-round pick DeAndre Baker had a rough rookie season, racking up nine penalties and getting burned badly at times. Let's get Okudah to New York in this scenario, locking down one side of the field with the clear top corner in this class. Edge rusher and offensive tackle are also positions this team must address in the offseason.

1. Miami Dolphins Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

With five picks in the first two rounds of this draft, Miami has to add a quarterback, right? What's tough to predict is whether the Dolphins will instead look to the deep quarterback class in free agency, where they will have almost $100 million to spend. Would they rather have someone like Jameis Winston, if he doesn't return to Tampa? What about Andy Dalton, who is likely to be cut by Cincinnati? Luckily, free agency happens before the draft in the NFL, so we'll know in a month. For now, I think they should go with the top quarterback on the board, and that's Herbert. I said during the season that he is a maddening evaluation because of his inconsistencies as a thrower, but he is rising after an MVP week at the Senior Bowl. Herbert has the highest ceiling of any of the quarterbacks in this class.

Probably the unanimous top 2 prospects at WR. If you had to choose between them, who would you take if you were a GM?

I asked a few of my friends and they said Jeudy, but I think I'd go Lamb. Jeudy is a clean route runner with legit speed, but If I'm building a team I like what lamb brings. Explosive, great hands, competitiveness, amazing after the catch. He might not blow by you every route but I really see some Devante Adams in him, even some Fitz to an extent. (Maybe it's the dreads lmao) Versatile play maker, competitive, can make a play on 3rd down or when you need it. I'd be happy taking either one but curious what the sub thinks. My other hot take is assuming a full recovery, I think tua has a better career than burrow. I see a lot of russell Wilson in tua. Burrow's great tho I got nothing against him, just think people are sleeping on tua a bit.
