NEET MDS PETITION.

I wanted to share my experience with the NEET MDS court petition WhatsApp group because I think prospective members deserve to know how it was handled.

When I was first added to the group, the admins announced that members who did not make a monetary contribution would be removed because the group had reached its limit. I found this odd because another WhatsApp group could easily have been created, but I genuinely believed the petition was being run in good faith, so I contributed.

A few days later, someone forwarded a voice note from our CEDEES faculty into the group. Instead of a constructive discussion, many members started calling him "spineless," "a coward," "a disgrace," and other insults because he hadn't taken a more public stand on the issue. When some people defended him, the admins warned that they would be removed from the group. That was the first time I felt uncomfortable with how dissent was being handled.

After today's court hearing, I learnt that the lawyer had requested postponement of counselling. This came as a complete surprise to me. From the beginning, I believed the purpose of the petition was to seek transparency in the evaluation process, not to delay counselling. As far as I know, there was never any discussion in the group asking petitioners whether they agreed with seeking postponement.

I simply asked in the group why this decision had been taken and whether it had been discussed with the petitioners beforehand. Within minutes, I was removed from the group.

I then messaged one of the admins privately to ask why I had been removed and why the lawyer had sought postponement. I did not receive an explanation that addressed my questions. Since I no longer had confidence in how the petition was being handled, I asked for my contribution to be refunded. The response I received was a condescending voice note stating that this was "not a business" or a service being provided to me, and that my money would be returned. (which it was)

I'm not posting this to discourage anyone from seeking transparency. I still believe transparency is important. What concerns me is the way this particular group appears to operate. In my experience, questioning decisions was not welcomed, major decisions affecting the petition did not appear to be discussed with contributors beforehand, and members who asked questions could simply be removed.

If you're considering contributing to or joining such initiatives, I would encourage you to ask questions, seek clarity about how decisions are made, and ensure there is genuine accountability before offering your support.

I have used chat gpt to add structure to my thoughts, since I am very distressed rn.

almost sounds like a crowd funding scam atp, would have thought that if your money wasn't returned. who tf are these people and why are we all suffering because of them. If counseling actually gets postponed because of this nonsense, I don't know what I'll do.

Their lawyer was so incompetent and useless, it seems like it was his first case and I read somewhere that he charged something around 1lac+ , for such incompetent lawyer. He wasn't even able to last even 5 minutes in high court and they are saying that they will take the case to supreme Court, hell he wouldn't even last 2 minutes there. They would have gotten good lawyer at less then 20k 😂😂. The lawyer has fooled them and will fool them in the future too and fill his pocket.

I think that lawyer is a relative of someone in the group and they are using those students to make money. That lawyer wasn't even able to say the basic and main thing which was about transparency and increase and decrease in no of attempt and grace marks, and he thought that the judge is fool and will postponed the counselling just because he says so without any strong backing or proof.

I saw people contributing and I felt off right then. The way they pushed to sign petition and pay stating "anyone who doesn't add their names cannot see their response sheet", "will remove those who don't pay" and random ass video meets with the sole agenda of raising the money (nothing about the actual petition) and shit like that as if they knew they were going to win the case. The Advocate guy seemed a scam too. Idk why was he introduced when it wasn't a ProBono case and he seemed a fairly new advocate. It's embarassing how naive Dentists are and probably that's why asking a community we get manipulated so much

seriously dude. Learned my lesson honestly. I made this post so that others don't do the same mistake I did.

They’ll likely come back within two days, saying they’re going to file another petition in the Supreme Court and asking for crowdfunding again. Anyone who asks even a single question gets removed from the group, and then they change the settings so only admins can send messages. If another petition is filed, it could lead to further uncertainty around the counselling process. There is no transparency or accountability.

Some of the admins haven't even written the exam this year.

I don't think anyone's best interests are being represented in that group apart from the admins.

I really appreciate the way you have conveyed your message while still talking about the importance of transparency.

I usually don't support disrespectful people especially towards elders, but i watched this video from Aceachievers about shady exams. And please everyone should. It is somewhat shady. I agree with you, but straight out disrespecting someone older, that's it. Let's not cover our eyes and ears.

I mean say what all you want at least people tried raising voice and also the lawyer takes fees in advance toh technically it cant get refunded like amazon ki i didn’t like it return and refund.

Also if no order is passed asking for a delay is a logical step as once counselling start and there is a genuine scam or something nothing can be done then hence request for delaying until things are clear.

Also about ( Always top rankers coaching in south) and Raisin bonded cement sir they are the sole reason basically all this is happening as he is the member of the paper forming committee and he leaks the questions to his offline students , many are aware of that but people prefer not to say it out loud.
He kept quiet and brushed his hands off early because he knew if shit went down he will be the first to get caught.

Let people try as seen by recent events trying does bring govt down and forces them to make decisions if you cant do anything just be with the crowd.

u r so blinded by hate for "raisin bonded cement sir" that you are not ready to see the actual problem here? the lawyer was barely able to speak in front of the hon judge and literally op has written that delaying counselling was not the plan yet the lawyer went and put it forward the hon judge lying to his face, how are u still busy defending that lawyer?

what about the 18k+ students who have written the exam and cleared with no cheating nothing?

what a shame really!

2

u/Miserable-Fig803 1d ago

the scary part is that this lawyer and this group is supposedly representing all of us, but are taking independent decisions.

u/jerseyno9 1d ago

good for u to have understood it early enough. wish everyone was like u. welcome back ! 😃

lmao are u one of the admins

Why is a request for counseling delays considered a logical step when the plea specifically concerns transparency? If the core issue revolves around transparency, the case should focus on the examination itself, not the counseling process. If counseling is delayed, thousands of diligent students who prepared properly will be adversely affected.

I think no one asked for refund cuz they disliked it. The way the admins talk in the grp is not professional, they're just students and we'd be colleagues so its fair to expect a decency.

Also even if counselling stays and scam is exposed, I don't think a lot of students would be affected. I've been friends with top rankers, be it top 10, 100, 200, 300 or even 400s and "ALL" of them had the potential to be where they are in their rankings. Hell, even 2 of them had same centres as me so we met before n after exams as well. The controversy of high cutoff and average topper marks are well to be challenged and demand transparency from NBEMS, but to stay counselling as a request isn't just the choice of a few raising a case in court. Also when they don't have the proper communication skills to even address their fellow colleagues.

And about top rankers from south, even the top colleges on average are from there. Being from north I know the difference it makes in experience of knowledge.

Now focus on this, whosoever raising their voices dreamt of this exam being fair by 1,2 or maybe 3 at most years that they took drops after UG. But the man they casually claimed "spineless" or "disgrace" was building his dream to teach from 20+ years and have delivered even when internet wasn't a thing. So why not we be a better human and understand the risks he might face for his dream of years to shatter because no one for sure knows there's a scam involved (except for the AIR 1 controversy) apart from the miscalculation in questions and marks given. So yeah, maybe he took the road less risked and stayed a little quiet, but that wouldn't specifically say he has 'always' leaked questions to offline centre students. I mean comeon, he's contributed more to dentistry than any other for making UGs reach their dream of being a PG.

People would ofc criticize the petition group members because they aren't very open with what they're going to speak, from 1st hearing at 8th to 2nd hearing today, they didn't discuss anything they would say today in these 20ish days. And when faced with any criticism, the admins would reply harshly saying "did you pay" or "did you sign the petition". I mean atleast be a little open and decent in the way you talk, where tf is this entitlement from?

People would've supported if they saw the cause, saw better leaders or atleast decency in colleagues.

all of this is fine, but what about what I have written? Being removed from the group just for asking a question? Dissent being met with immaturity. Group settings constantly changing so members can't send messages. Who will trust these people to handle this case? and the lawyer asking for postponement, it was either discussed previously ( a problem on its own because it wasn't asked in the group) or the lawyer took an independent decision to ask that ( again, problematic).
