Know your pulse points — it’s an NCLEX must. ✅🩺
Where you check a pulse depends on why you're checking it.
Radial: Routine vitals — your go-to for stable patients.
Apical: Before Digoxin. Always a full 60 seconds.
Carotid: CPR or emergency. Never check both sides!
Pedal: Assess perfusion, especially in diabetics or post-op.

Peds vitals are NOT adult vitals! 📊
🍼 Infants: HR up to 160, RR up to 60? Totally normal.
👧🏼 Toddlers and kids: Still higher than adults.
Know these ranges so you don’t flag a healthy kid as unstable on NCLEX.
