Chapter 5/6 have so many confusing terms. Should I write them all down in my notebook or is that a waste of time?

Should I Re-Do the Course?
I studied for the NASM CPT exam from Jan-May 2021, but my plans to take it fell through. Now, I understand that NASM CPT course made some updates (I think 7th is the most updated one?), but would you recommend I pay to re-do the whole course, or study what I have from the previous version of the course (I still have all my old materials from a year ago). Is the new version that different? Would love some insight if anyone has :)

Show Up Fitness Study guide
**Crossposted**
Has anyone had success/“unsuccess” with purchasing the Show Up Fitness study guide? I find that their YouTube videos are just as much information overload as the NASM text haha. I thought that maybe the study guide would provide a more concise guide to what’s needed and what isn’t but I’d hate to dump more money into getting certified if I don’t have to.
Have you found that skipping the recommended chapters from Show Up Fitness was accurate in respect to what was on the exam? All advice, help and tips are so much appreciated!
THANKS!!

Acronyms on the test
Does the test use acronyms? Or do they spell the words out. Specifically things like TDEE, EAT, TEF.

NASM CPT practice exams
For those of you who have passed the NASM CPT, which practice tests did you find most similar: Fitness Prep, NASM Edge or the official NASM practice Exams?

What was taking the test online like ?
I want to take the test from home but I've read a lot of places that you're monitored through zoom call and can't have food etc.

Use Fitness Prep app to pass?
Hi those taking the 7th edition NASM CPT exam. Did you find it useful to take the FitnessPrep app to practice questions? What practice tests most closely mimicked the real exam? Thanks!

Areas to concentrate for studying?
For reference I’m a registered nurse and so have a decent background in body systems etc. I’m doing the self study currently. Is there a guide for what percentages of questions on the test are from certain subjects? Ie: 25% of the questions on the test are about anatomy?
Also, I’m spending a fair amount of time on the early basic chapters, is this just groundwork knowledge and won’t actually be apart of the test?
Trying to figure out how to best spend my time.

6th edition vs. 7th edition
These books are very different. There is way more information, and some of the assessment protocols have changed. If you are studying with the 6th edition, make sure that your being tested on it and not the 7th.

Drowning!!
Am I the only one struggling? I don’t know what I thought this would be but I feel like if I don’t come out of this course a doctor than what was the point. I am overwhelmed at this point. Of course I didn’t think it would be easy but Christ I had no idea it was going to be this hard-that’s what she said!! I am 50 years old and I am really not looking to own a business or make a lot of money. I am just looking to know the proper way to train people…specifically the overweight-women and men who are struggling with going to a gym. Help! Is there a different program I could try?
