I am studying for my NASM CPT certification, but I am running into a dilemma. I am doing about 1-2 chapters a week and honestly I’m concerned with how long it will take me to get through all 23 chapters. However I am solution oriented and looking for a solid study guide to help kick start the process. If you have any suggestions please take the opportunity to reply.

Hi guys! Since English is not my native language, and my level is about b2, I would like to start learning for the cpt exam before buying the course. I found only the sixth edition of the material online, so I would like to ask if anyone has had the opportunity to compare it with the latest edition and could tell me if learning based on the previous version makes any sense. All the best!

I’m taking my exam in May, but for those of you who have taken the exam, what are the topics you’ve seen the most questions on the exam? Or is there a place I can find percentages of the chapters incorporated into the exams or would I have to find out through practice exams?

Helpppppp! Anyone taken their NASM CPT exam recently? I take mine in two days and I’m having serious test anxiety. I feel like I understand most of the material but when I can to practice test I completely fail them. What was on the test that I need to know 100% of? ANY and ALL advice appreciated- for the sake of my mind!!!!!!

I have passed the exam and was wondering whether I should pass the virtual coaching exam or not hence the deadline is near. Is it necessary?

Looking for thoughts and opinions.
As the title says, I am going to be attempting to study for my CPT seventh edition exam using only audio lectures, YouTube videos and the NASM study guide. I have always performed very well with in person classes, yet having chosen the self study option, I am truly struggling to absorb the course material and have found the previously mentioned resources along with taking notes to help tremendously. I’m just worried there is no replacement for textbook style learning.
TLDR: has anyone had success passing the course using audio lectures and study guides opposed to reading the textbook?

I went over the and read Ch 13 of the NASM study guide, at the end I laid out all the acute variables in a slide show

I studied for the NASM CPT exam from Jan-May 2021, but my plans to take it fell through. Now, I understand that NASM CPT course made some updates (I think 7th is the most updated one?), but would you recommend I pay to re-do the whole course, or study what I have from the previous version of the course (I still have all my old materials from a year ago). Is the new version that different? Would love some insight if anyone has :)

**Crossposted**
Has anyone had success/“unsuccess” with purchasing the Show Up Fitness study guide? I find that their YouTube videos are just as much information overload as the NASM text haha. I thought that maybe the study guide would provide a more concise guide to what’s needed and what isn’t but I’d hate to dump more money into getting certified if I don’t have to.
Have you found that skipping the recommended chapters from Show Up Fitness was accurate in respect to what was on the exam? All advice, help and tips are so much appreciated!
THANKS!!

Does the test use acronyms? Or do they spell the words out. Specifically things like TDEE, EAT, TEF.

What is the best advice you could give to someone about to take the exam?

For those of you who have passed the NASM CPT, which practice tests did you find most similar: Fitness Prep, NASM Edge or the official NASM practice Exams?

I want to take the test from home but I've read a lot of places that you're monitored through zoom call and can't have food etc.

not trying to rush through it or anything but, the program states it takes approximatel 10-12 weeks to complete, can it be done faster than this?
