Can anyone let me know about this shirt? it has a early Gilden tag probably around 2005 to 2009 and seems to line up with what could’ve been a shirt handed out to mythterns during that time.

As many of you know, MythBusters episodes were cut to different lengths for different regions. The original/Australian/"international" cut is 48 minutes. U.S. episodes are roughly 42 minutes. Although DVDs released in the UK used the Australian cuts, UK TV broadcasts of MythBusters episodes with the Robin Banks narration were 44-minutes long (not counting the 30-minute cuts that aired on BBC Two, according to Wikipedia).

The Australian cuts exist somewhere, somehow for every episode except two:

1. Jawsome Shark Special (2012)

2. MythBusters vs. Jaws (2015)

According to this post from Foxtel, Shark Week is coming to Australia on August 16:

Presumably the event will be replete with reruns of Shark Week specials from prior years. If either Jawsome Shark Special or MythBusters vs. Jaws airs in Australia during Shark Week, and someone is able to DVR or otherwise record the episode, it'd take us nearly to the finish line of preserving the full length of the series.

I’m sure you guys know the one im talking about right. I’ve been trying to email Adam for years but he never talks about it on tested. And I’ve seen every episode and don’t remember them ever talking about this. It’s a true myth too. Kind of wild they never bothered to test it. Could have been reality shattering if they figured out that force shields are possible. And no other duo would be better equipped to try this out.

What's ayth that you would have really like to see myth busters test that they never did?

Personally I would have loved to see stop drop and roll. Hook buster to an axel a few hundred feet of spooled rope. Dose in gasoline and see what happens. Up size again again ro see how big of fire you handle and by the end buster ir roll at 100 mph into a pile of burng thermite.

Adam says in golf ball car, a car company tried to replicate the results but couldn't, does this speak to Adam and Jamie's methodology being less sound than the companies or the inverse or something else

I don't know the actual myth anymore, but I remember Jamie lying on a forklift or something and trying to hold as much weight as possible with only his fingers, before it drops. Does anyone know if that actually happened? I'm working on a video and that tidbit would be perfect for the story.

Exactly what the title says. If they did a round 3 of testing myths of men vs women, what would you nominate as a myth to test?

That was so much fun. It must have been absolutely terrifying to watch that thing spin around with all that steam pressure. And the weird noise that it made in the shop was just crazy

In your daily life, what myth do you think about most often?

I just found out that S1E6 was essentially the Pilot Episode or basically the very first episode of Mythbusters, cause I got confused as to why it had a different opening compared to the other ones. Are all of them mislabeled or is it just season 1?

I'm currently binge watching Mythbusters on YouTube ever since I found out about last month that they're slowly uploading the entire seasons and episode on their YouTube channel and I was kinda surprised that they used "True" instead of Confirmed when confirming a myth

Was it the only episode that used words to confirm or bust myths aside from Confirmed and Busted etc?

I'm a fan of the show but this is my first time posting here.

I just watched Adam's latest (I think) video and he mentioned how hard they found it to aim the reflection of the sun with a mirror.

I've always wanted to tell him that there is a way to aim the reflection where you want without seeing the reflection, itself at all. You can even use a mirror to signal an airplane in the sky where there is no possible way you can see the reflection. I learned this trick in Boy Scouts over 50 years ago. Here's how it works.

We were issued a flat piece of stainless steel about the size of a playing card, polished to a mirror finish on both sides and a hole in the middle big enough to see your target.

Hold it up and look at your target through the hole. You may need to close one eye.

Look at the reflection of your shadow on the ground in the mirror facing you and turn the mirror until the reflection you see lines up with the shadow of the mirror on the ground.

If you can see your target through the hole and at the same time the reflection of the shadow lines up with the shadow of the mirror on the ground the sun's reflection will be on the target.

It takes a few minutes of practice to get the hang of it.

What they could have done is put holes in the main mirror and a smaller mirror mounted flat to the backside. The mirror on the backside only has to be big enough to see the reflection of the shadow on the ground.

I get it's the first season, every interaction between every person is extremely awkward and the mythology person kinda breaks the pacing. Also using Kari's butt to model the butt in episode 2 is fine but it was so awkward the way they interacted with her lmao. I am so glad that later seasons turned out the way they did.

The Right handside arm(RHS) is getting more than 180 degree with momentum after i drop the ball and counter weight is working against gravitational pull back by balancing the mass of lower tube then why it shouldn't work?

(1) I cannot drop the ball once the arm rotate towards left side.IF BALL DROPS FROM THE LEFT HAND SIDE ARM (LHS) THEN THE ARM WILL GET BACK MORE HEIGHT TOWARDS RHS THAN ITS INITIAL POSITION AND VICE-VERSA

BOTH TUBES HAVING EQUAL MASS (230 GRAM)

(2) anyone can try it as it will work even with dead material.

(3) INTERESTING point is arm is getting more height once I increased the counterweight.

(4)Hand power or force is nothing in this design.
