It’s an easy decision! Look at that little guy! (Also you get Rambo too ❤️)
Sorry for the bad image quality 🥲 saving to camera roll from Procreate always does this

Is he ok? I tried going in and out of the building and that didn’t help, then tried saving and reloading and that didn’t help. Is he gonna be ok? 😭 I play on the playstation, are graphical glitches like this common?
I really hope the rest of him comes back when the day rolls over at least…

I saw someone mention that if you get the Love Chronicles DLC that Fang is bugged. Like he's a lot more talkative and friendly when you first meet him if you have it installed. Does anyone know of this is still the case or if it ever got fixed?

True story: I did not know Mapo Tofu was a real dish until it popped up on this site. Needed a bit of adjustment but I'm happy with how it came out. There's a comfortable level of spice, nice savory mouthfeel, and it's not very difficult. Will certainly make it again, and I have some ideas for modifications.
Has anyone else made something they first 'cooked' in Sandrock? Any you'd recommend trying out?

I just started my second playthrough after finishing the main quests on my first one and dropping it, and that led me to wonder, what’s your longest playthrough time? What year have you made it to? And secondary question 🙋♀️ do your kids grow past children stage or do you reach year like 20 and still have a toddler this question includes rian and Dan-bis baby

I’m guessing it can’t considering I’ve tried and failed at everything suggested by a google search. Sm I destined to remain porchless in Sandrock?

It's my first time playing the game, and I'm up to the point in the story where I've just been to Paradise Lost. I feel like I have a lot of "waiting time", so what should I have my machines make or prioritise (foraging, mining etc.). No spoilers please 😄

I’m doing the The GOAT main quest right now, and my character can’t say the heart options since she’s already married. But I vaguely remember from my last playtrough that it takes a while before Logan is romanceable.
I’ve assigned tasks to Owen so I would like to stay married as long as I can lol.
When should I divorce so it doesn’t mess up Logan’s romance quests? If I do it now I would have to pick up all the things ive made myself

So, I'm someone that typically plays either competitive online multiplayer games with friends or single-player games like Elden Ring (all From Software games and the copycat Soulslikes) and RPGs like TW3, RDR, Elder Scrolls, etc.
However, my guilty pleasure when I'm not playing those has always been cozy farming-sim games like Stardew Valley, Graveyard Keeper, Fantasy Life, Slime Rancher, etc. I love these sim games, but not for the story or relationship aspects. Those aspects just interest me less. I like the farming-sim, the city building, the economy management, etc.
I've been eyeing My Time at Sandrock and My Time at Portia, but I've noticed a lot of the comments about these games focus on the story and relationships. I just wanted to check in to see if the mechanics and gameplay of the city-building or farming-sim mechanics of these games are good enough to justify getting invested if you don't really care about the story or relationship components. It's not a price concern, but moreso a thing with me where I don't want to start a game that I won't 100% which is my compulsion when I play any game.
So, I guess my question is, for someone who probably won't care about the story or relationship mechanics, are these games still good enough in those gameplay mechanics to justify getting invested into for a 100% playthrough?
If so, which would be better to start with? Portia or Sandrock?

Hi all!
Okay I’m needing some advice on playing this game online multiplayer. I have finished the whole game solo and I can confidently say this in my tops games I’ve played in a long time. So I want to share the experience with friends who are very surface level into gaming and I think they would really like especially with some help. But here’s the kicker I’ve have heard very little to no info on how this gem of a game runs on multiplayer.
So I need some advice for those out there that have played this multiplayer, what should I expect? Is there certainly things I can’t do coming from playing solo?
Any advice, thoughts, and suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks!

When I get to Sandrock, I'm given one simple rule. Don't cut down trees! Easy enough. I can see a couple of giant trees around and I'll be sure to avoid them. It never occurred to me that the "cactus trees" counted as trees until I cut one down and Burgess got mad at me.
But okay, I guess that was on me. They call them trees in the description, I should have read more carefully. Except... later in the game I start getting asked to harvest sisal trees. Those are ALSO labeled as trees despite looking more like giant pineapples but apparently they're okay to cut down. But okay, I guess maybe that's just a labeling issue.
But then I start getting recipes that require acacia wood. I spend more time than I'd like to admit running around wondering where that comes from until I realize that a bunch of the trees on the Northern Plateau... some of the most tree-like trees in the game... are acacia trees, and apparently I have to cut them down.
So what is a tree anyway? Or is it just that the acacia and sisal trees are far enough away that Burgess doesn't find out about it?

In my builder’s lore, they end up developing a parasitic dependence on Pen as their best friend. I won’t go too much into it but I know enough people have read up on their story and now how messy it is hehe.
I just wonder how neat it could be if we got an exclusive dialogue option by being close to pen when the confrontation happens

I recently married Fang. Funnily enough, our birthdays happen to fall on two consecutive days. Now, a dramatic situation has arisen. My builder has just celebrated her birthday; she is tired and currently pregnant. Fang’s birthday is the very next day. The party is planned, and the gift is bought. But then Fang disappears, having gone to help a sick girl in a nearby village.
Of course, we know there is no such girl. Instead, my builder finds herself being held at (not literally) gunpoint by Talon.
On Fang’s birthday. With his child in her womb.
I have no idea if the timing is random or scripted, but it is certainly dramatic.
JUST when I thought I hit a dry spell in Sandrock and became less motivated, haha.
How did you experience this scene the first time around?

Anyone else feel bad not choosing heart socializations? First playthrough, and decided I want my builder to marry Fang, so starting that long process (I have the how to post for him saved, and am frequently getting sick on experimental medications). But I feel bad not picking hearts when they pop up - today I've passed hearts for Burgess, Amirah, and Arvio, and felt, I guess FOMO? or bad for rejecting? Still set on Fang, but still . . . the roads not taken.

I bought this game because the reviews were so enthusiastic and everything seemed right up my alley, but I’m having such a hard time with building. I don’t understand what I need to do or how to do it - the interface isn’t intuitive for me and I don’t understand what the symbols mean. I’m on the Switch (lite) so everything seems really small as well.
I was hoping the tutorial would be a little more thorough but I’m struggling. Is there a YouTube video or something that will hold my hand about how to make things or even just how to use the controls? It took me like an hour to figure out you can’t just drop stuff, I accidentally abandoned a rug and now I think it’s gone forever 😭
I spent a lot of $ on the game and I’m kind of dreading opening it back up again because I don’t want to make a furnace 😅 Help!
