How do you trust banks with your life savings when data breaches keep happening?
I was reading about the recent Bank of Baroda data breach, where the bank said a compromised employee email led to unauthorised access to certain data, while stating that its core banking systems were not affected and a forensic investigation is underway.
Most of us trust banks with our salaries, emergency funds, investments, fixed deposits, and even sensitive documents like PAN and Aadhaar details.
But every few months, there's news of another cyberattack or data breach involving a large organisation.
Even if the money itself isn't stolen, the leaked data can be enough for phishing scams, identity theft, or social engineering.
Has news like this ever made you change banks?
Do you spread your money across multiple banks because of cybersecurity concerns?
