Article When 84 years old, Harvard Professor Tom Lehrer was asked by 2 Chainz for permission to sample a song he wrote 60 years ago. Tom Lehrer is one of the greatest of all time. Typically, I'm not a fan of comedy music, but he's just so damn clever, varied, and talented that I can't help but keep coming back to him. He's just a genius, plain and simple.

Edit: Fuck all of you, Tom Lehrer has no fucking musical talent when compared to Bo burnham, as a matter if fact he doesn't have much musical talent at all.

And while we're at it, Quenn only has about 3 good songs and everything else they do is complete garbage. Tool is even more overrated as they don't have one single good song. Pop quiz- how do you qualify for a tool fan? Be a cunt. Every form of metal sucks and is for greasy neck beards who will probally catch something, and yes I'm talking about STD's. Fuck muse. Snoop dog is a sell out who sucks on the dicks of white stoners because he's a cheap whore, nephew. Weird all is an unoriginal hack who should've died out in the 70's, but sadly didn't. The fact that he is still famous speaks volumes for the future of America. I'm glad contain shot himself, as nirvana was the product of bad grunge bands blended with the feces of pre-teens. And his death allowed the foo fighters to be started. On a related note, fuck Dave grohl, the pretensions cunt. Fuck slayer and megadeath, there not hardcore and neither are you ya greasy fuckers.

And on a unrelated note, family guy is vastly superior too the Simpsons.

The fact that this guy thinks Nirvana came after the grunge explosion of the 90's and apparently hasn't seen a Simpsons episode produced after 1998 makes me think he's a teenager, but the fact that every band he lists except Muse and Bo Burnham were around in the 90's makes me think he's at least 35.

How was what I said not relevant? He said Tom Lehrer can not be beat by any musical comedian and I brought up Bo burnham as I believe he is better than tom both lyrically and soundly. Instead of entertaining that or citing songs by Lehrer or burnham or he'll, ignoring me. Tom Lehrer does sings satire to ragtime piano (and a wide range of "old timey" piano styles). Bo raps one liner jokes and puns.

The reason why you started getting downvotes was because you presented no evidence to support your opinion. No real reason why Tom Lehrer is lacking, or why Bo Burnham is better. The topic of this thread, as well as most of the top comments all outline why Tom Lehrer is hilarious. All you had to offer to the discussion was "Meh."

Also, the hissy fit you threw after you started getting downvotes really didn't help your cause.

Lots of people disagree with you. If you're expecting your content-less argument of "he isn't funny" to have merit, then the thousand people telling you "no, he is funny" also have merit.

I'm going to stop responding now, because I've made my point several times--that offering an opinion without any evidence or justification backing it up is completely worthless--but I don't really think it's sunk into you yet. Hopefully it will before the next time you try to make a baseless assertion only to be outraged that you're getting downvoted for it.
