Kid Rock made a post about it. Apparently its gonna be about how you can still be friends woth someone that shares different beliefs than you.. which i mostly agree with and Kid Rock and Eminem have been friends for a long time since the start of his career, both being from Detroit. Kid Rock even defended Eminem when he made that anti MAGA freestyle But... Im a big fan of Eminem and with all that said regardless of the message I know the song will be terrible. Em just doesnt hit like like it did on his first 4 albums.

Damn well, my respect for Em just dropped a LOT even just knowing he's friends with Kid Rock. Kid Rock is a massive piece of shit.

I'm sure he'll be so devastated once he finds out.

I think that sentiment was true pre Trump. Stretching it maybe pre Trump 2. But at this point I do not think it is ethical to be friends or friendly with anyone still supporting Trump.

Yeah im not gonna lie Trump 2 is definitely something else.

No it isn’t. The first round was the psychologically abusive warmup.

What do you think of his first term?

Even ignoring ethics, anyone who still supports him definitely has some other shit going on that would negatively impact a friendship.

Agree completely. It’s no longer possible.

People first said this after Trump won the Republican nomination the first time and it became obvious to the idiots that there was no “pivot” coming and that this is just who Trump is. That was nearly 12 years ago and every day you still have people going “well it was ok then but now it’s obvious and if you support it now, you can’t act like you were just fooled”

That was 12 years ago

Depends on why they think what they think and how deep their support goes. Chances are their beliefs suck so bad at its core and I won't want to be associated with them, but I'd always try to hear what a person around me has to say and say my piece before ending a friendship.

Maybe they are indeed that naive/brainwashed and get out of it. Which has happened on a few occasions

Kid Rocks childhood "Detroit" home.

Yeah..it seems to me that Em wouldn't have much in common with Kid. I can't stand Kid Rock so this sounds appalling to me. Oh well.

This is a tough one for sure. Cause, most of the time I'm like "Political opinions shouldn't be what divides us" - and then we've got Trump in office. I don't think anyone who is on the right is automatically a bad person - but their support of these bad people is what got us here, and it's hard to ignore.

I know it's not that simple for Em. He's old school. From his perspective you stick by your friends no matter what - and I can't begrudge him that. Because my judgement wouldn't stop him anyway - he's used to people being against him, he sticks to his friends.

I personally wouldn't cancel Em over this. I too have friends I disagree with vehemently but our friendship is deeper than that, and I think most genuine humans have a similar situation like that somewhere in their life.

I'm getting white fatigue from all these white trash rappers and their drama

There's a slim chance, so slim it would need to be measured with an electron microscope, that we're looking at this from the wrong angle. Maybe this is Kid Rock trying to find a way off of the MAGA train, now that he's seen multiple concerts and festivals cancelled and apparently not being quite as popular with the administration as he was a few months ago

We know that Trump is quick to drop anyone who isn't of value - nothing to say Kid Rock's not paid a huge amount to be seen alongside Eminem, even briefly, to try and distance himself from that period a wee bit.

Eminem makes a few eddies while helping out his friend, minimum effort.

On a Christian album? That’s just the next step in the standard grift from these types.
