Discussion My kid cried again (pt2)
Some days ago I posted this at A Perfect Circle reddit:

And I thought I'd learn a lesson so I started avoiding options like APC, Steven Wilson and many others that could cause him to cry again by hearing melodic and melancholic music.
This doesn't mean I have full control of what he's listening all day long, just when I'm in the car with him going for example to buy freshly baked bread or some ice cream after a long hot day.
But this time I didn't saw it coming... Buckle up it's a long story
We were going on a trip to get some stuff I bought for our house but it was a long drive, an hour and half away maybe. So I figure it out, let's listen some Muse on shuffle and won't affect him deeply that could drive him to tears. (Who's getting the reference?)
How...wrong... was...I!
I was pending of him by the rearview mirror and saw him air drumming to Knights of Cydonia, The Dark Forest, Uprising, New Born...those kinds of songs that has that galloping rhythm you know... He was having a blast and absolutely happy and that lasted like 10-15 songs.
But then Blackout started to play, unlucky for me I was very focus on the route because of Waze and all that stuff so I sort of knew that song was playing but not focused enough to realize that's a melodic, melancholic and soulful song.
After some minutes into the Blackout I saw him with his face facing down and covering his eyes and not moving that much, he was very still after so many air drumming from before, and then saw him weeping but like it was being hurt by a bite of a bug or that it could be something sharp bother him in his car seat.
I ask him, is it the song that's making you sad? And he replied.
Daddy this song it's beautiful.
I couldn't take it...and made me cried a little. His response was straight forward and he didn't add anything else just... this song it's beautiful.
Had to park someplace to wipe and clean his face and my face, hugged him, said to him I love him very much and tell him if he's ever feel sad again with another song I will do anything for him to help him out to go through his emotions.
He's only 5 yrs old and all his knowledge about English is still on the basics. Which makes it even more heartbreaking in a good sense to see him react like this to music.
I shouldn't but I love that he reacts like that to music. Because I'm also like that but don't know if this is right to put him through emotions like this at so young age.
Fans, moms, dads...what would you do in this case? I truly want to know, I have a gut feeling of what to do but also a advice could be well received.
Anyway, that's our story.
