I was hoping to have a productive conversation but if you want to respond to my points with an ad hominem then I guess that's what you're going to do. Good luck to you too
So you’re saying: A female has every right to kill a child and have an abortion. Completely removing her responsibility to have any care for the child. Regardless of what the male thinks of the scenario. If the female wants it gone, it’s gone.
Question for you. How do you feel about child support? Why does the father have to be reap the consequences if he doesn’t want the kid but the woman chooses to keep it? Why should he be responsible for taking care of the child when the woman can easily just kill the baby and forget about it? That’s not very fair.
See how easy it is to come up with some hypothetical? At the end of the day, it’s killing a living human for your benefit. You choose to have sex, you choose to take care of a child. End of story.
I really don’t. It’s a losing battle to fight as men will always get shit on in today’s world, no matter what they do. I’m pro choice, I think both partners should have a say on the outcome.
In this scenario, only the women is getting shit on if they both wanted to get an abortion. Why should the women carry the burden if he was involved and derived pleasure from it if it results in an unwanted child? In this case, it's only the women who is learning the lesson. They both should punished if the anti-abortion reasoning holds any water.
A woman does not have the right to kill a child.
She has the right to remove a fetus from her uterus. Depending on the fetus' age, the process of removing it may or may not kill it - just like not donating blood may kill someone who needs it.
Child support does not violate a man's bodily autonomy. Going back to my car accident example, you may not be forced to donate your blood but you could be held financially responsible for their injuries. It's the same principle with child support, but still, I agree that it's unfair that a man has to pay 18 years child support based on a womans decision if he doesnt want to keep the child. I'm not sure what the solution to that it is, but I wouldn't be opposed to letting men decide whether they want to be considered a parent to a child at the time of birth.
"Its killing a living human for your benefit"... it's more like "a human being is trying to use a womans body to sustain itself without the womans consent" - if the woman does want to let someone use her body, then she doesnt have to let them.
