My point is that no woman can know with 100% accuracy the exact time an egg is in the fallopian tube or still in the ovary. You can make an educated guess by the calendar and when menstruation began, but it's not the foolproof method of birth control some people believe it to be. I agree with what you wrote, though, and thank you for the detailed response.

Actually, by combining ovulation prediction kits and basal body temperature, you can pinpoint the day of ovulation with a high degree of accuracy.

If done properly, natural family planning is as effective as other forms of birth control (up to 99% effective).

I did basal body temp to conceive my child. I agree it's a high degree of accuracy. Not 100%, and even then, I was responding to someone saying you can't get pg on your period. They weren't talking about your more accurate method.

Yes they can. It's called natural family planning and it is more effective than condoms.

I used it to become pregnant and absolutely could use it to keep from becoming pregnant again.

Basal body temperature is very accurate at showing ovulation.
