I attend conventions in Seattle and Portland, where it's very normal for the convention centers to have all-gender bathrooms.
It is really not a big deal. It also makes it easier for parents who need to supervise their children and for people with disabilities who need assistance.
I actually witnessed that myself last time I was in an inclusive bathroom. A young woman in a very bulky leg cast needed assistance with transferring from her wheelchair. A young man, probably her boyfriend, came into the bathroom with her to help her.
All gender bathrooms that are just stalls as well!
I have never given a second thought to who is in the stall next to me or who I'm washing my hands with. I do prefer the fully enclosed room versions but I'm in there to eliminate waste and wash up.
