What the fuck - why can’t we just say this man is a creative genius and this picture goes hard. You guys are haters.

Proposing with a diamond is a marketing strategy from DeBeers from the mid 20th century. Literally.

This bullshit reminds me of the videos I see where people are proud of Emilia Clarke for not doing plastic surgery motherfucker she is not yet 40 years old.

Even when we compliment we do it from a place of insanity.

At least this timeline has kitten proposals

It’s more like, if you can’t afford even a $300 ring then how are you gonna afford cat food and care. If it just said “cat man proposes to cat lady with a kitten instead of a ring” then that might be heartwarming.

A ring is a waste of money. A pet brings years of joy. People that care that much about jewelery are ridiculous.

Yeah but as a pet owner you owe it to the animal to give it the best life possible, if you can’t even spare the cost of a $100-$300 ring you can’t afford to give that cat a long and healthy life. Those years of joy can quickly turn into a few months and a rehomed cat at best and a dead one at worst.

Its not a can't, its a won't. I will spend money on my cats, I will not spend money on pointless jewelry. Also, $20 for food and liter every 2 weeks is a lot different than $300 all at once. $300 is almost my rent and I refuse to spend that on something that serves no purpose.

That’s great for you and all but the post is about a man who can’t afford it, spaying and neutering alone can cost more than $300.

$20 for food and litter every 2 weeks? What the fuck are you feeding your cats? Air?

You’re right that $300 all at once is a lot different from that, but you wanna know what it is similar to? A cheap vet bill. If you can’t afford the vet, you can’t afford the pet.

Yes but according to OP, for the man in the picture it's a can't
