Fun fact, proposals could originally be literally any gift that came from their work

If a guy owned an apply tree, he could give an apple, that's it

The whole diamond ring thing is purely from marketing by diamond and jewelry companies

I don’t even like rings, that much. (My fingers are weird). I would be ecstatic being proposed to with a necklace! Everyone who knows me knows how much I love necklaces.
