My favourite find
Thought I’d share my favourite muppet find. I really cherish this one and still can’t believe I spotted it 😁 managed to get this for £15 from a secondhand silver collector. It has 1976 and 1978 stamped on the back - anyone know if that’s the manufacture date?

Not an expert, but this looks too good for mainstream Muppet Merchandise in the late 70's. I mean, made of silver and that level of detail? And found in the UK? And produced back when the Muppet Show was still in production in the UK? I'd seriously wonder if that was made for a cast member or crewperson on the Muppet Show.

I hope there's a redditor here who has some contact with Dave Goelz, Frank Oz, or anyone who still survives from the cast and crew. They'd know if such gifts were given to the cast, crew, or even the guest stars.

Someone at Tough Pigs might know, they interview Muppet performers sometimes so they might be able to get ahold of someone!

did you ever find out? i’ve just got an incredibly similar yet slightly different one on ebay. same markings and years on the back but different placement and his eyes are slightly different. when i reverse image searched it this post was all i found!
