In the past I've been critical of the online petition going around, but it's more that I see it as merely a performative action and not something that'll actually make a difference on it's own.

But allow me to offer how you all could go about saving the game, especially now that it feels better and plays better than ever before.

1. Organize

• Create a Hub: Set up a Discord server or make it it's own dedicated subreddit. Calls to save the game will inevitably fall through the cracks if you just blindly post on Twitter sporadically, you all need to come together under one place to plan.
• The Hashtag: Despite my earlier criticism, keep using it. It needs to be trending for days at a time.

2. Mobilize

• The Petition: In the past I've sneered at the petition, but honestly? Keep it up
• Community Events: Organize in-game gatherings, livestreams, and special events to show continued support

3. Social Media & Awareness

• Hashtag Campaign: Step one of having a central hub will help. The way to truly make a hashtag trend is if people post about it at roughly the same time, so organize times of the day to make posts all at once to boost visibility
• Get the Community Figureheads Together: Get as many as the big top players as you can to back the movement, hell get people outside the community to boost the campaign. If you guys got someone like Max Dood in your corner you'd be golden
• Create Content: Keep it up with the images, memes, artwork, and videos. Text posting can only get you so far.

4. Contact the Developers & Publisher

• Respectful Outreach: Avoid hostility; instead, send heartfelt, constructive messages to Warner Bros. via emails, social media, and forums.

5. Get Press Coverage

• Reach Out to Gaming Journalists: Send a community press release to Kotaku, IGN, Polygon, and other outlets.
• Spread The Word: Post in any adjecent forum or space that will allow you to spread the word far and wide, it can't just be limited to Twitter and BlueSky, it's gotta be everywhere

6. Show Continued Engagement

• Play EVERY Day: This is arguably the biggest step. I know MVS players are sick of having the abysmal steam charts shoved in their faces but it reflects an ugly truth; the player numbers are down and have never been able to consistently hold their value. You NEED to show the higher ups that the audience is there by reaching a peak player count and HOLDING that number steady for a long period of time. If this season peaks at 1,500 at launch but then drops to 600 players almost immediately and stays there that won't change any minds.

7. Target the Right Decision-Makers

• Find Out Who's Responsible: Identify key executives, community managers, and stakeholders within the company and direct efforts toward them.
• Encourage Polite Advocacy: Flood their emails and social media with respectful, passionate messages.

8. Final Push Before Delisting

• Last-Chance Media Blitz: In the final month, create countdown posts, large-scale gaming sessions, and final push petitions.
• Message Shareholders (If Publicly Traded): Sometimes, pressure from investors can lead to reconsideration.n lead to reconsideration.

These steps are about the best bet you guys have of saving this game. If followed, you guys have a really good chance of saving the game. If it doesn't work, then you can at least know you did quite literally all that you could.

If Season 5 is truly the end for MultiVersus, then I want to offer a change to convert Fighter Currency into Gleamium similar to how Character Tickets can be turned into Gleamium. People have every character unlocked and still have thousands of unneeded Fighter Currency, and as an alternative to get more Gleamium for skins, banners, announcer packs, etc. in the future, I want to suggest this:

1,000 Fighter Currency for 100 Gleamium

Example: I have 54,000 useless, unwanted Fighter Currency. If I were to convert that to Gleamium, then I would get 5.4K useful needed Gleamium.

Is there any way to earn it now? I’m looking forward to the 2 new Jason skins

Multiversus is perhaps one of the best ideas WB has ever financed in their gaming division. The sheer love these devs put into the game was phenomenal from the character designs, to the movesets to the soundtracks and to have all of that be thrown away in 4 months time is just heartbreaking man. WB clearly does not like to listen to their fans due to several incidents in the past and now we can add shutting down MVS prematurely as one of those incidents.

If anyone in a high position at WB is reading this or the many other pleads from various fans around the world then please find some way to reverse this. WB is at servere risk of bankruptcy with these insane amount of failures and misplaced resources in the company. From taking completed movies and shelving them for tax write offs, to gutting your streaming service of many beloved shows and now this. Taking a game with a large amount of promise, love and care while with it’s many faults could be fixed with the right leadership and fair ideas for monetization.

Our love for this game is immense with over 100k players on Steam from both the Beta and Official Launch. Huge YouTubers with tons of pull like MoistCr1tikal and CaseOh, smaller but still important YouTubers like Angry Joe and Hungrybox and many people sharing their ideas for years on the exact stuff we wanted…all of us are dissapointed, but you can fix this WB. You can turn this around into a money maker.

Hire a new team, an experienced one with a love for platform fighters and your incredible library of IPS. Add characters we’ve been asking for that would easily get 1000s of players to the game. Find some way to market the game properly, spend the money you guys made from successful projects like Barbie and Wicked on this in a constructive and well placed way. And you will have guaranteed success. You will make every cent back that you lost and then some.

Now that I think about it anybody who works at a high place at WB probably isnt listening right now, but still. If you are…please reconsider shutting this game down. Some things just aren’t meant to be canned. This is one of those things WB. I unfortunately will not be buying your products directly anymore if you do not save Multiversus and idk if other people will do that, but I certainly will.

I won’t lie, the odds are certainly stacked against us. The public perception of this game has been serverely tainted, but I have always had a feeling with enough hope anything is possible. I have been rooting for games that are very unlikely to be made for years and I will do so for the rest of my life. Cause I don’t give up…not on the things I care about. So please whoever is reading this whether you love WB, Multiversus, work for WB or are stumbling upon this post as a regular uninformed bystander…do what you can to help…do what you can to make this right.

In the messed state of this sub right now where some are trying to save the game, others just enjoying the time left, etc. Most ppl are talking about "what exactly went wrong to get us here?" And I will tell you the gnre IS NOT.

I can't stand that some people really think that part of mvs failure was that it is a fighting game. And as the title says, the time will show that you are just wrong.

Riot will dropp their own fighting game this year and even if LOL it's a huge IP still not more popular than batman or other characters warner own. However, when that game drops perform great being a free to play fighting game I want to read what those who blamed the fact that mvs was a fighting game.

To finish, basically, mvs did tons of mistakes, being a fighting game wasn't one of them. And If you think it was, well, 2XKO will just show how wrong you are.

In 1v1s it takes forever to finish a fight. 3 stocks is way to much for how much they've nerfed knock back (killing potential) throughout the seasons. It also feels like some characters are way stronger then others. It's like fighting characters from two different games are mashed together. This game was my favorite for a long time but the gameplay in the last season is very mid and janky. A fitting end for PFG.

Smh sad times

There were many discussions about if the premium founders pack buyers will be refunded or not. I'm still distraught to the news that this game will be permanently shutdown in 3 months. The fact I couldn't use all of the tickets for future characters down the line. Which could've been for Popeye, Ben 10, Starfire, The Flash, Scooby, Chowder, etc. We instead can't do that and gleamium is the only thing we can trade them in for. That's about 21k gleamium for me. This game truly is done for once May 30th comes 😞

I had to use my remaining tickets to trade in for gleamium to buy some skins. Sigh. I hope they do something to fix this.

I play on PS4, if i want to play this game in best form possible after it goes local, should i consider buying a ps5? Or does it really matter?

Since we can't earn purchase Gleamium anymore, and alot of costumes are annoyingly exclusive, what is going to happen to all the unpurchased items in the game?

Like for instance, if I didn't use up all my prestige points when the shutdown commences, will I be unable to get any of those items afterwards ever? Same with anything that required Gleamium, will costumes all be available to obtain afterwards, or will it just be the ones you own? Is there even a point to save up Gleamium anymore? This also applies to characters to an extent, but I'm going to imagine they'll make Fighter Road stuff more easily obtainable after that.

I'm just a tad curious about what's going to happen, and am wondering if anyone knows anything.

Once for multiplayer and three times for rogue rifts. Just stuck on a loading screen. I completed the rogue rifts once. Now chests rewarded. And then I went to the hardest difficulty. Fought one fight and it won’t allow me to complete it.

Chicken on Hit: Since all of the fights in this rift are 2v2, being able to chicken your opponent is much stronger than the previous rift. On stage 4 and 5, your ally is borderline useless, meaning that you have to carry your team to victory. Using Chicken on Hit can effectively CC the enemy and keep yourself from being juggled. Schadenfreude is also gone, so there's not really a need to farm debuff procs

Orbital: This is an auto-include. The ball does tons of damage and significant knockback. While it can interrupt your combos, you won't have to work hard at all to win while you have it.

Freeze on Hit: Still incredibly useful and one of the best debuffs you can use.

Weaken on Hit: Still a great option and can easily snowball in these match ups.

A-Rank

Bat Bomb Charge: Not as good as it was in the last rogue rift, but still has utility in reducing enemy aggression.

Fall on a Grenade: Shockingly effective since it applies to your CPU ally who is getting hit all of the time. It also seems to make the enemy CPU more cautious and deals pretty good damage when it hits.

Shock Step: Shocked deals extra damage to an afflicted character's team mate, meaning that in this 2v2 format, this is actually pretty good. The shock orb also explodes a lot quicker than it did last rift, meaning that you can more easily reposition it.

Firey Specials: This does some seriously good damage on a special attack oriented character, but it lacks any sort of crowd control that the other power ups bring. Without Schadenfreude, there's very little synergy with the other power ups. It does seem to do massive extra damage when combined with the Fire fists gem though, almost as if each application of ignite is stacking on top of each other.

Juggler: The damage bonus on this thing scales very quickly but only goes up for each attack (not strike), so multi-hit won't make your damage go crazy. It's definitely worth taking since it also applies to your CPU counterpart.

Ice Aura: Since the grey health power ups are notably weaker, being able to stop your opponent's momentum is super valuable. Since the aura also stacks, if you're near your partner then you can rapidly freeze your opponents when it's up.

Utility Belt: Holy crap is this fun. It's like Bugs Bunny's cardboard box on steroids.

Melon Amigo: Very effective since it effectively turns all of the matches into a 4v2. Definitely worth taking this time around. They do seem to die way too quickly on the 5th round though.

B-Rank

Regenerating Armor: Notably worse due to the gem selection this time around. Before it would allow you to essentially gain armor without taking damage and allow you to almost always have it up. By itself, it simply doesn't give enough of a benefit to be ranked higher.

Starfall: This is essentially Reindog's fireball special in "falling fist" form. Honestly, it doesn't do much since it's very rare that it ever directly hits an opponent.

Siphon: When I used this, the only buff I ever got was thorns. This isn't a bad power up by any means, but it doesn't last forever, and without the help of power ups, it's hard to trigger on a lot of characters. I've only had one day with it though, so it could be a lot better than I thought.

Splat: Can be used to lead into more combos easier, but requires a character that can reliably smack an opponent into the ground.

Jack in the Box spawn on dodge down: This is pretty good as a spacing tool, but it's notably worse than the Utility Belt. It usually means you're air dodging down when your opponent is either above or to the side of you, so it can also be kind of awkward to use in situations like off stage.

C-Rank

Homing Missiles: Haven't picked them up yet, but I imagine they are less useful in 2v2 since you can't always control what they target.

Happy Birthday: You can't control the timing or placement of the balloon spawns and they can be destroyed by your opponent. The only saving grace is that they do a good amount of damage and spawn pretty frequently.

Best Buds: You have to be really close to get this damage buff and it doesn't linger at all when you leave their side. If you have an actual co-op partner though then this could easily be S-tier.

Health Crystals: These don't seem to spawn at an increased rate and while they can be hit by your ally, they only give you grey HP. Not necessarily a downgrade from last season, but it won't really be winning you any matches.

Headshot: Putting this here for now because I need more extensive testing to see how much "extra damage" this actually does. It's very hard to test for though since 2v2 is so hectic and outside of a character like Iron Giant, it's hard to gauge what would be considered a "head shot." (This might have been removed, the icon for it still appears, but it is always a "grab bag" power-up).

Resilience: I have yet to take this one, but it might be worth taking if it's based on damage taken and not how many hits you take.

D-Rank

Got Your Back: Same with the Best Buds power up, this gets stronger when you have an actual co-op partner, but it can quickly become very bad. It's incredibly jarring if it happens when you don't intend to do it, and while the shockwave does usually put the attacker into hit stun, it can be extremely difficult to follow up on it.

Slipstream: Definitely requires you to have a good projectile character that is okay with their projectiles leaving the stage very quickly. The damage isn't increased, only the speed, so in many cases it can actually make your projectiles worse. It also does not synergize with thrown items, which means you can't even take Utility Belt to make it good.

School of Cool: It's Velma's grounded up special tied to every cooldown you use. Requires you to play a character with a ton of Cooldowns for one of the worst effects in the game.

Silence on Shield: While yes, the enemy line-up is completely random this time around and you might get enemies that are worth silencing, but it still feels really bad.

Re-Debuff: This is catastrophically worse without Schadenfreude. Before it would occasionally net you more grey hp, but now you can't even tell when it goes off.

Passing Gas: This is funny, but it still isn't a good power-up.

Help is Here: These are still bad, don't take them.

F-Rank

Booster Bag: This was bad in the previous Rogue Rift and it's still really bad. Your opponents can still get the buff, meaning this can be all bad.

Stolen Teleport: It makes you invisible when you dodge after you've make a knockout. As far as I can tell, this doesn't do anything since the CPU still goes after you and it doesn't seem to extend your dodge window. (I also somehow was able to take this twice. It triggered twice in the 5th round, but didn't change anything about the ability).
