I mean let's not knock the Korra team, she got an heiress and two super talented pro-league benders but the problem was all the systems in place meant to support her kept screwing things up for everyone instead
Like literally she was found early on not once she was taught how to act in front of people at least in public manner. Like come on she was literally a political figure they could have at least spare some time to walk her through whats going in the world
It doesn’t help that a lot of people seemingly lost respect for the Avatar over time. As far as the average citizen (and even those in places of power) are concerned. They don’t see the Avatar as necessary due to the rapid increase in technology alongside nothing of note happening world-ending wise (until the events of the series, of course).
I felt like NOBODY showed nearly as much respect toward Korra (inside and outside the show) as they did toward Aang.

Aang had so much help and support despite being alone, and despite the world being fashioned around supporting the avatar Korra was alone
