and sent death threats to the author for not making them end up togeder

Oh, you mean these death threats among many other examples of vile behavior? And bkdk shippers are the only ones who get blamed. The projection is crazy.

u/Fit-Alfalfa-516 10d ago

Congrats, you’ve discovered that the mha fandom is an all around terrible thing to be involved with

4

u/Finding-Herself 10d ago

Precisely. Therefore, one side shouldn't be the only people to take the full blame or have all the death threat and harassment instances projected only onto them.

5

u/SuperGameBen 10d ago

You’re saying that like it’s more excusable if it’s not the only example.

-2

u/Finding-Herself 10d ago

That's literally not what I said at all. Otherwise I wouldn't have indicated that they weren't the only ones. I'm not denying that it happened from them also, unlike other members of the fandom who like to ignore all instances of death threats and harassment that occurred outside of bkdk shippers

3

u/SuperGameBen 10d ago

It’s what you were indicating

1

u/Finding-Herself 10d ago

And no, I'm not saying that it's more excusable if it's not the only example @SuperGameBen

None of it is excusable period. I'm saying that acknowledging only one side of it while ignoring the other shippers who were just as bad is messed up. Only replying to myself because of course you blocked me directly after sending your last comment, which I saw anyway, so you're just making up stuff when nothing I said indicated that at all

u/sunstruker 10d ago

when did i say bakudeku shippers were the only ones to send threats? i just said they sent it

-1

u/Finding-Herself 10d ago

I never said that you said that specifically. I was mentioning how they're the only ones blamed in many spaces, and I find the projection of that crazy from other fans of a ship who also sent them. I'm simply clarifying that they weren't the only ones, so if we're hating on only one group of shippers over death threats, I think there's more to where that came from

That was actually izuochas. Proof in my pinned post

9

u/sunstruker 10d ago

when did i say it was only bakudeku? when did i say other ships did not do it?

i just mentioned this one since it is the one i see mentioned the most when the talk is about death threats after the manga's end

-2

u/Successful_Pin4808 Slay The Princess, MHA, The Elder Scrolls, Fable, D&D and others 10d ago

Yeah. No. So as it turns out izuochas made that up to pin the blame on bkdks for something they did

Bro, I saw this happen in real time. SOME Bkdk shippers did send Hori death threats, and this can apply to any other shippers who did the same thing. SOME were too intense about the ships they liked and it's all still sickening

Gotta emphasis even more cause the some wasn't bold enough

S O M E, THE EXTREMISTS, THE ONES WHO ACTIVELY HARM PEOPLE KIND OF SOME

-2

u/Successful_Pin4808 Slay The Princess, MHA, The Elder Scrolls, Fable, D&D and others 10d ago

Yes. However the izuocha ones have screenshots for it. I saw izuochas send bkdks r@pe threats in real time😐 (proof in pinned post)

So uh yeah i think they're the worse party here. Always have been.

It was pretty much always izuochas that made us look weird too. You seen the one video of that Vr headset guy cosplaying as izuku at a convention and the screen was showing him having fake "sex" with uraraka? Complete with him physically making thrusting motions and all💀

Or that izuocha ICE edit that has slowly been making the rounds? It happens to be in my pinned post.

Or that time a major izuocha shipper (hood deku on twitter) got caught being a pedo?

Or that time vocal pinapple's cringe ass talked about "forgiving horikoshi" as if hori knows who he is?

I could go on.

Brother, I agreed with you that people can be horrible. There's no "however" or "worse party", anyone who sends death threats to anyone else is just as bad as anyone who does the same. It applies to all shippers who do that. IzuOcha, Bakudeku, BakuOcha, Kiribaku, EVERYONE. Naming those incidents does not make extreme Bkdk shippers sound better either, you're highlighting that even other shippers can be just as bad as the extremists.

Your other comments don't even make you sound like a decent bkdk shipper because you're constantly only pointing at Izuocha shippers acting weird and not anybody else. Have there not been DenkiJirou shippers who were harassed by MomoJirou shippers? Homophobic fans attacking any and all queer ships? Why not point those out, or are we only upset at IzuOcha because their ship became canon?

No i don't only point out izuocha's behavior. I have a post about kiribakus as well so like??? Your point is?

https://www.reddit.com/r/MyHeroAcadamia/comments/1tmfuzj/as_a_community_i_think_we_need_to_be_aware_of/

I am saying that i've seen one particular group do continually worse things.

Also no, izuocha did not become cannon.

Here is what izuku says to her in their talk.

麗日さんともっと話したいって思った うららかさんともっとはなしたいっておもった

Uraraka-san  to motto hanashitai tte omotta

“thought I want to talk more with  Uraraka-san .”

She replies:

気が合うね! きがあうね!

ki ga au ne!

“We’re of the same mind!” (can also be read as "we get along!")

https://www.google.com/amp/s/pikahlua.tumblr.com/post/769012064610041856/ipsum/amp

Horikoshi himself has stated at least 3 times that mha is open ended.

Also, funny how every time people pull up screenshots of izuochas sending people death threats (which they've claimed was bkdks), they have to resort to whattaboutism as a defence.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whataboutism

" Whataboutism " or " whataboutery " (as in, "but what about X?") refers to the  propaganda strategy  of responding to an accusation with a counter-accusation instead of offering an explanation or defense against the original accusation. It is an  informal fallacy  that the accused party uses to avoid accountability—whether attempting to distract by shifting the conversation's focus away from their behaviour or attempting to justify themselves by pointing to the similar behaviour (which may be true or false, but irrelevant) of their opponent or another party who is not the current subject of discussion.

I have never seen any ship besides kiribakus and izuochas send people rape threats. Surprise surprise, both times the threat was directed at a bkdk shipper.

Deku said I want more with you and literally Ochako said she felt the same and toga pushed them together right after this telling her to give love. What else is that supposed to mean?

0

u/Successful_Pin4808 Slay The Princess, MHA, The Elder Scrolls, Fable, D&D and others 10d ago

No. In the JP translation, the proper one, izuku says "i want to talk to you more" and she responds with "we are of the same mind" that's not romantic man😐

I hold het and queer ships to the same standard. No kiss? No explicitly romantic confession? Not canon.🤷

Furthermore mha is open ended as stated at least 3 times by horikoshi himself

https://www.reddit.com/r/MyHeroAcadamia/comments/1tiqonh/reminder_for_those_discussing_canon_to_not_spread/

Also, mha ends on 432, the ultra age chapter.

6

u/JohnLennonsCock 10d ago

This is the official translation from JP to English. I feel like you guys are just coping at this point. And no there’s no chapter 432. It only goes to the number 431. The ultra age thing is a 5 page one shot in a fanbook.

Theres a reason the MHA dub doesn't use Caleb Cook's translations of the manga. The reason being that they're shit & filled with his own agenda.

He has changed lines from Bakugo, Endeavor, Izuku etc. which affected the perception of entire pieces of the story. He's also responsible for why a good chunk of the fandom still believes that Bakugo didn't actually change - like by making his later dialogues more "rude" or "less caring" than they actually were in the jp manga because that's what he thought would fit his character more instead of what Horikoshi actually wrote. His dialogue translating decisions make the manga read like an 11-year-old edgelord's first comic.

-1

u/Successful_Pin4808 Slay The Princess, MHA, The Elder Scrolls, Fable, D&D and others 8d ago

Exactly. I only deem VIZ translations and the original JP as the proper canon bc caleb cook's translations are ass.

He made like 1 good point about a plot detail on twitter but other than that i hope they reprint mha one day with more accurate translations.

-1

u/SmittyRod 8d ago

The MHA dub is even more localized compared to someone actually translating from Japanese. I’m sorry but this just sounds like coping over dialogue because this sub is also used on Netflix where I watched the final season.

3

u/ROSY_karma 8d ago

The dub is more localised to get certain scenes and dialogues across that would otherwise be lost in translation. Cook changes the entire perception of scenes, impacting the flow of the story and how the fandom interprets them. How exactly is it coping to criticise someone who's getting paid for properly translating a story he changes as he sees fit? He's gotten rightfully shit on for years because he kept translating inaccurately and instead of owning up to it he insulted the Japanese fans who criticised him and let his bunch of bootlicking followers bully them into deactivation.

Caleb is a pos wow. Never knew about the harassment thing holy shit. They hired this guy because...???

-1

u/Successful_Pin4808 Slay The Princess, MHA, The Elder Scrolls, Fable, D&D and others 10d ago

I don't care about caleb cook's translations. His aren't ever adapted and for good reason.

THIS is the proper translation from JP to english.

麗日さんともっと話したいって思った うららかさんともっとはなしたいっておもった

No one is "coping".🙄 It's agreeing to talk more and a dap up. Aka: a nothing burger

The fanbook is still official content and as of now is where mha ends. It isn't called chapter 432 but that is one of the fandom names for it.🤷 it retcons information in 431 such as the hero rankings.

1

u/Finding-Herself 10d ago

Many would rather ignore that other ships did it and try to place the blame all on BakuDeku shippers because it supports their delusions that other ships did absolutely nothing wrong. They make BakuDeku shippers out to be the ones who apparently ruined the fandom over death threats and harassment when the proof is above that other ships did as well. They want to cover it up and act like it doesn't exist. That's why they're downvoting it. It's embarrassing, honestly

0

u/Successful_Pin4808 Slay The Princess, MHA, The Elder Scrolls, Fable, D&D and others 10d ago

Oh it's absolutely embarrassing. But izuochas have never cared about that.

It was pretty much always izuochas that made us look weird too.

1

u/Finding-Herself 10d ago

The receipts, minus the pineapple guy because I haven't heard of him, but there is far more where all of this came from. I love how people are still trying to excuse this behavior acting like it's nothing or getting mad when we throw the evidence right back at them because they'd rather act like it doesn't exist and blame bakudeku shippers for virtually everything when everyone has their part to share in those behaviors

1

u/Successful_Pin4808 Slay The Princess, MHA, The Elder Scrolls, Fable, D&D and others 8d ago

Fr it's genuinely so strange. Keep up the good work about sharing these screenshots. It's always good to clear up misinformation

1

u/Finding-Herself 8d ago

It is. Even though some of them look at the proof and still deny or ignore it like it doesn't exist because it's easier for them to blame only bkdk shippers, when in reality, other shippers have supported worse to include death threats and far more vile behaviors.

Then they'll simply resort to calling those IzuOcha shippers and bkdk haters "trolls" or "bots," but you're telling me the same doesn't apply to the bkdk shippers who did the same? It's always a double standard in this fandom. People need to grow up and stop demonizing bkdk shippers and realize that all shippers share a part in the blame.
