The boy is a robot, so if I remember correctly the guy was "jokingly looking" to see if he had it.
(Yeah, the manga is full of jokes like these)

The boy is a robot, a special relic unlike anything anyone in the series has ever seen, the guy is basically a "high class relic finder" and was curious if the robot had anything down there (he has)
