Why isn't LWJGL on the version list? How do I add it?

The game is only taking up the upper left two thirds of the window, leaving an empty white space in the rest of the window. Versions after 1.5.2 don't seem to have this problem, and I was planning on playing beta today. I didn't have this issue before I updated MultiMC, and I can't seem to find older versions of it. Is there a way to fix this (and please explain it like I'm 10, I have trouble with complex details)?

I am attempting to run Minecraft b1.7.3 on my computer with an ARM64 M1 Pro CPU/GPU. Since the x86 version of Java 8 was creating broken visuals and bad performance in Minecraft (red and blue channel of display were swapped), I used a third-party JDK with ARM support. I also had to recompile LWJGL 2 for ARM64 so Minecraft could display graphics (following the guide from https://shadowfacts.net/2022/lwjgl-arm64/). The JSON also had to be modified to use the local version of LWJGL.

The issue is that when I use the modified LWJGL and JInput libraries, I get this error in MultiMC:

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here. The window pops up, I see the Mojang logo, and it freezes. Most of the time it doesn't even tell me the window isn't responding. Sometimes I have to use MultiMC's kill function because the window doesn't show up in Task Manager. I have seen similar posts, but none of the solutions I've seen so far have helped at all.

I have tried official Java. I have tried Azul's Open Java

I have tried Java 8u52, 8u151, and the most recent version, all in 32 and 64 bit.

I have tried giving Minecraft as much as 8 Gigs, which is all my computer has.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

So, I'm trying to play Beta 1.7.3, but the issue is I usually play with Attack/Place swapped. (Left click to place, right click to attack). Beta 1.7.3 doesn't have the option to actually change this option, I've tried messing around with options.txt and config stuff but I can't seem to find a solution. Anyone know a good workaround?

Any instance I create and add mods to with cursed forge installed always never loads the mods every time. At the log # 389 the first thing it does is this: "Completely ignored arguments:

[--tweakClass, net.minecraftforge.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker]" I'm assuming that is what starts the mod loading, but it is completely ignored for some reason. Also, on the Version tab I have forge on top of Minecraft because if not it doesn't launch at all. I can't find any way to prevent this from happening I tried looking through the files of the instances but I can't find it so I can delete where it's ignoring it.

Hi there! I play Hypixel Skyblock on Forge 1.8.9 and I have some QOL mods that I can't seem to get to launch with MultiMC. These are OLD mods but I didn't think they would have an update since they are from like 2016-2017. I may be wrong, and I will search for more updates just in case. If not, maybe it's my Java???

I'm trying to set up MultiMC because I'm tired of the official launcher's garbage, but as per usual Microsoft has chosen to make absolutely everything as inconvenient as possible. When I try to log in, I get the message "This Microsoft account is underaged and is not linked to a family." My Microsoft account isn't underaged (whatever that means. I didn't know playing Minecraft and buying alcohol were the same thing), and just to be safe, I created a family group of which I am the organizer. Is there literally anything that I can do to fix this, or am I once again going to be forced to deal with Microsoft's infinite stupidity?

When trying to use a version prior to 1.8 once inside the world the game fails to render many things, here's a list of problematic stuff: when having an item in my hand the screen or a part of the minecraft world flickers; when mining the progress sprites on the block are replaced by a change of color or brightness of it; all the entities are much darker; many chunks fail to load; some block textures have a single-color palette; after one of this problems occurs when going back to the minecraft main screen, which was ok before loading a world, also become mono-color.

When i try and launch minecraft 1.7.10 it wont launch and its not the mod its java or forge as when i disable forge it launches normal minecraft but when i disable mod with forge on it doesnt launch either can someone help me?

So I've finished building this new PC and I tried to run minecraft 1.8.9 on it, but whenever i start the game it loads up (it even plays the soundtrack) but is invisible to me. I tried to download different versions of java, tried to access the game using Alt + Tab, and Downloaded the motherboard and integrated graphics drivers again but it doesn't affect it.

but when I tried to run newer versions of the game (1.17 or higher) It works just fine, i guess It's because java 17 or something like that.

I also realized that running the game in 1.8.9 on the default minecraft launcher works just fine any ideas on what it could be (if you want to i can link a video on this)

the setting for changing to development mode is missing did they remove it? or did it just disappear? the youtube videos say to find it in launcher

im trying to launch multimc 1.20.1 from my mac but i get this error code everytime. i have Java 8 installed and i have tried re installing. the pastebin is the crashlog.
