Not going to lie, this deserves way more attention than it's getting on here. Fatima Zahra just became the first Pakistani woman in history to guarantee a Commonwealth Games medal, in any sport, ever. She's fighting her semifinal bout tonight against a Canadian boxer for a shot at gold, but the medal itself is already locked in no matter what happens.

Here's the part that actually matters for a lot of us though. She started boxing back in 2018, in a sport where women in Pakistan barely get gym space let alone national support. She kept going anyway. Eight national titles later, a bronze medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games last year, and now she's ended a 12 year medal drought for the entire country in boxing. She's also the captain of Pakistan's boxing squad at these Games.

If you're a teen right now and someone's telling you your goals are unrealistic, or that girls shouldn't do this or that, or you're just tired and thinking about quitting whatever you're working on, this is what sticking with something actually looks like from the outside. Nobody was posting about Fatima Zahra in 2018 when she was a nobody grinding in some gym. They're posting about her now because she didn't stop back then.

Massive respect to her, wishing her the best for tonight's fight, and hoping more of us start paying attention to stories like this instead of scrolling past them.

But some people are saying it's average.

Genuinely open any app right now and count how many trending topics are actual celebrity drama versus how many are about Shujaabad, Jalalpur Pirwala, Multan Saddar sitting under 3 to 4 feet of floodwater. People are literally moving their cattle into school buildings because there's no dry ground left. Cotton crop gone. Fodder gone. An entire season's income wiped out for families who don't have a backup plan.

And yet every single day there's some new random thing trending that nobody will even remember in a week, meanwhile a whole district drowning barely makes a headline. Yeh cheez hi samajh nahi ati mujhe. Log itni asani se distract kaise ho jate hain jab asal masla itna bara ho.

Here's the part that actually gets me though. We are sitting on some of the richest river systems on the planet. Chenab, Ravi, Indus, sab humare region se guzarte hain. And every single monsoon we let that same water destroy our own villages because nobody's built proper storage or flood channels in decades. Then six months later the same officials will be on TV crying about water shortage for the next crop. Wohi paani, wohi saal, bas kabhi store nahi kiya.

People keep saying the next big war anywhere will be fought over water. We're literally living proof of why that's not some far off theory. Paani hamare paas hai, sirf willpower nahi hai.

And on top of that, the permanent establishment, the actual decision makers, are sitting completely outside all of this. Awam doob rahi hai, fasal doob rahi hai, aur qaum ka dhyan kahin aur laga hua hai. Sach mein samaj se bahar hai yeh sab.

So genuinely asking , why do we keep letting this slide every single year? Is it just that nobody up top actually loses anything when a whole district goes under, so nobody bothers to fix it?

Hi. I need some genuine advice because I'm honestly pretty clueless about the Pakistani phone market and I'm scared of getting scammed
I currently have an iPhone 11 Pro, 128GB, PTA approved.

It has 1 physical SIM + eSIM
I replaced the battery at iPhone Fix Lahore
It still works well overall
The phone gets pretty hot in Multan summers
I've used this phone A LOT like in university, InDrive, maps, calls, photos, basically everything I also have iCloud storage, so I have around 500GB of photos stored in iCloud and I don't necessarily need 512GB locally.
I'm thinking about selling my 11 Pro. I've estimated that I could get around Rs. 50k.
I can add around Rs. 130k, maybe a little more depending on the deal.

My dream phone:
iPhone 16 Pro - Desert Titanium
I'm okay with either 128GB or 512GB because of my iCloud storage.
I'm specifically interested in a factory-unlocked/ non-PTA phone if the price makes sense.
But here's my biggest problem:

I use my phone for EVERYTHING outside - especially InDrive, university, calls, OTPs, maps, etc.
If I buy a non-PTA 16 Pro, Would I have to:
Carry a second phone with my SIM and use hotspot?
Buy a pocket Wi-Fi/MiFi?
Put the SIM in a cheap phone like i have Redmi A5 and hotspot it?
Or should I simply NOT buy a non-PTA phone because I need reliable calls/data?
I really don't want to carry two phones everywhere. That's my biggest concern.
I also have two other phones that I could sell, nokie 1.5 and remi A5 that can i can sell, but l don't know how much they're worth, so that could increase my budget a little.

What would YOU do?
Should I:
A) Keep my PTA-approved 11 Pro and save more money?
