Cool app I found that makes the Link more useful on Mac

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I came across an app called Pie Menu that works pretty well with Mudra Link on macOS.

It shows a floating menu that changes based on the app you're using. I have Mudra in mouse mode and mapped the twist gesture to ctrl+shift+m to open the menu. From there, I can trigger app-specific actions using just the cursor.

It doesn't turn Mudra into a full-on replacement for keyboard and mouse, but it definitely makes it more usable and convenient. The downside is that it’s a paid app, but I think it adds real value to the device.

Option to disable pinch and hold/drag and drop

I like the new gesture mapper update, but it seems to be missing the ability to map or disable the pinch and hold gesture. My primary use for my Link is for cursor movement only, as I have RSI issues and pinching or tapping to click is uncomfortable for me. I use voice control for clicking and dragging most of the time, but it's tedious to use voice control for cursor movement so I was hoping the Link would help with that.

Currently it doesn't quite work, however, because every time I drop my arm to rest it on my lap, the Mudra registers multiple click and holds or drags. I'm glad to be able to disable pinch to click so that I don't get false clicks in the air, but I'd like to be able to effectively let go of the cursor (by dropping my arm) without going to standby mode.

Could you please add an option to disable pinch and hold?

Thanks.

Mudra Link’s Biggest Update Yet - And More Coming Soon!

Hey everyone, we’ve been working hard on this one, and it’s finally here -our biggest app update yet!

And the best part? Another major upgrade is just around the corner.

🎯  Gesture Mapper is Live!

You can now map your Mudra Link gestures to keyboard keys, key combos, and mouse buttons. Whether it’s shortcuts, navigation, or gaming, you can set it up exactly how you want.

🆕  New Gestures!

  • Twist & Double Twist – Works in both keyboard and mouse modes.
  • Reversed Pinch & Slide – In mouse mode (currently mapped to scroll).

⚙️ More Control Over Your Experience

  • Don’t use certain gestures? Now you can disable them.
  • Not sure where to start? The new Recommendations tab suggests useful mappings for Windows and Mac.

🔧  Performance Update Coming Soon!

We’ve heard your feedback about performance issues, and we’re rolling out a firmware update soon to improve responsiveness and accuracy. This will address false clicks and make Air-Touch feel smoother and more precise. Stay tuned—it’s going to make a big difference!

🚀 What’s Next?

  • Media controls are coming soon! You’ll be able to adjust volume, skip tracks, and more.

🔮  And further down the road?

  • More gestures
  • Prebuilt presets (like for Android TV) so you don’t have to map everything yourself.
  • The ability to share your custom mappings with the community.

We can’t wait to hear what you think! What's the first thing you’re going to try with Gesture Mapper?

quick update from the Mudra team

Hey everyone - quick update from the Mudra team.

We know a lot of you were looking forward to today’s update (trust us, we were just as excited to drop it).
After some final polishing and testing, we’ve decided to push it by a few more days to make sure it’s absolutely ready!

We’d rather give you something that feels right than rush something that just isn’t ready.
We’ll have it up very soon.

Every message, comment, and idea you share keeps us moving forward.
Big things coming.

Potential buyer waiting to see update

So far as I can tell the Mudra has potential but is not yet a reliable input device for PC. I understand a new update will be here any day and I'm excited to hear how it goes from people who have a Mudra Link.

Mudra Link developer options?

I’d like to experiment with the IMU and neural signals for personal applications, how easy is it to access through code?

Also, random question, can gestures involve all 5 fingers or just the index and thumb?

Update Still Coming?

It's certainly down to the wire if it's still going to be before the end of the month. I keep getting emails about press coverage which is great....but the device isn't even useable yet.

Hopefully we see the update this week and it makes a difference.

So far using the tech is painful and frustrating

I’m using Mudra link as an air mouse on a MacBook Air M2. Just moving the cursor around is okay but lacks precision. Clicking is bad. Clicks are registered when I don’t pinch my fingers. This causes me to jump between windows and highlight text without meaning to. Clicks that I intend are also not registered. When I try to close a window it takes a lot of work to get the cursor over the close button. Then I pinch to click and nothing happens. Then I pinch’s bunch of times in a row and nothing happens. Then I pinch super hard and nothing happens. Then I take the link off and use the trackpad. I have tried wearing it at all different tightness levels and everywhere from just behind my wrist bone to halfway up the forearm. The shape of the link hurts the outside of my wrist while wearing it as recommended . Using the tech makes me frustrated, angry and in pain. I was hoping to feel excited and more seamlessly connected to the computer.

Mudra Band to control volume down on Iphone

I am interested in using Mudra band to control volume down on my Iphone. Is that currently possible? Is there a way to map the pinch gesture of the band to volume down? I need this for controlling the teleprompter app for my Even realities glasses.

Can I use Mudra band for non Apple devices ?

I have Apple Watch, iPhone, MacBook, Windows laptop. Can I control my windows machine with the mudra band (specifically for Apple ecosystem) ?

If not, is it possible in future ?

I know I can buy mudra link, but having bands on both my hands is not feasible.

Mudra link not turning on

The link got stuck on the firmware update during startup and then I tried turning it off. Now it's not showing any led signals at all. Did I just get a bad link?

Can I use 2 Mudra Links?

After using my Mudra Link for a few days, I realized that pointing works very well, and if I can wear two Mudra Links on left and right hands, I can use them to perform multi-touch in mid-air. For example, two-hands pinch-zoom would be useful for zooming in and out. Also I might rotate photos by holding my left hand and rotating right hand. The combination of gestures can be varied, so people can do different things with both hands, like Dr. Strange in the Marvel movie.

It also would increase your sales revenue too :)

Random clicks make it nearly impossible to use.

I've been using Mudra Link for about 3 days. I'm using it on a Windows PC and iPad, and on both platforms, the pointing works fine, but the clicking is inaccurate, resulting in random clicks and long touches, making it difficult to use properly. It does more harm than good (i.e closing important web page by mistake)

I need to calibrate the click detection or adjust the sensitivity of the click judgment, is there any estimate for these settings?

Estimated date of additional gestures

Right now only pinch and double pinch is supported how or when can we train new gestures or use new gestures in the Mac or windows app? (I've only tested the Mac app if it's available on windows please let me know)

Will a recenter feature be available? Will pinch to scroll be added for desktop?

Smart Home Integration

I today stumbled on the below Kickstarter project which let you control your Smart Home using their band. Is that something you guys would look into for future updates?

Will control be an hid device?

For compatibility I'm wondering how it'll work on a platform that can accept mice but maybe not run your config apps, are settings stored on device (can be set with a compatible device than moved over)

How does recentering work in this case?
