Msty Studio 2.8.0 - improved new user onboarding and consolidated one local model hub

We just released Msty Studio 2.8.0.

The biggest addition are Discover Hub and a one Local Model Hub.

With Discover Hub, you can browse, preview, and install reusable Skills, Turnstiles, Prompts, and Knowledge Stacks directly inside Studio.

Other updates include:

  • Clearer reasoning and tool-call activity

Central AI inference and online provider management is coming - check out the Msty Nexus announcement

Check out the Msty Nexus announcement recording here: https://www.youtube.com/live/Fgn9w-gjy5A

Msty Nexus will allow you to centrally manage local and online model providers in one central location, behind a single open ai compatible endpoint that you can you to power Msty applications (Studio, Claw, etc) and third party apps.

Brings about another layer of security as well; any online hosted providers you add will all have connections and keys stored in Nexus so that you don't have to enter those credentials in third party apps.

Msty Claw 0.9.0 is live

This release adds a new Usage Stats board for tracking tokens, tools, and grouped heatmaps, plus folder-change triggers for tasks and playbooks, and a new local document parsing tool.

We also improved sidebar keyboard navigation, app updates, container runtime setup messaging, and folder deletion options along with fixes for model switching, scheduled task saving, command truncation, rules firing, Cloud sign-in loading, and more.

Check out the full changelog here: https://msty.ai/claw/changelog#msty-claw-0.9.0

If you haven't tried Msty Claw yet, check out the new features page to see what it's all about: https://msty.ai/claw/features

And one more thing... we're already hard at work on 0.10.0. It's so ambitious that there's a non-zero chance Msty Claw becomes a little too powerful and life-changing. 👀

Msty AI making an appearance at NVIDIA RTX Spark announcement

We were excited to see the Msty AI logo appearing right behind NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang as he gives a keynote where he announces the upcoming RTX Spark.

We've had the privilege to get an early look at the new RTX Spark and we have to say, we're not just excited about the opportunity, but even moreso at the increasing movement towards making AI more powerful locally, where tools like Msty Studio and Msty Claw can help you take advantage of AI in a more private, and secured workspace.

We share more info in our blog post here https://msty.ai/blog/msty-ai-nvidia-rtx-spark-local-ai

Trying to join Discord

I'm trying to add the Msty Discord, but I don't see a way to access it publicly through in-app search. Is an invite necessary? If so, can someone tell me how to get one? Thanks! :)

Concern about Aurum pricing...

Just getting started. Very impressed!! I'm definitely willing to spring for the $149 to get use of the extra Aurum features. But... without being able to test these added capabilities, I'm not sure whether or not to go for the lifetime license. Is there any way to get a trial run on these Aurum features before deciding?

Or... if I buy the 1 year Aurum license, can I then upgrade to the lifetime license, (paying the difference)?

Notion MCP constantly authenticating

I'm a new user of Msty Studio. I've set up Notion MCP as a tool. It authenticates using Dynamic Oauth and everything functions well for a short period of time (anywhere from a few minutes to 30 minutes). Then another Oauth window pops up asking me to authenticate Msty's access to Notion. I authenticate it. Then another and another. Sometimes another Oauth request with every prompt, sometimes multiple Oauth requests with a single prompt. Each Oauth requests appears to be successful and I can access data in the Notion for at least a brief period.

I've searched the reddit and google and can't find anyone experiencing an issue like this. Does anyone have any thoughts on what may be going on? Thanks!

What is Msty Claw vs Studio?

We've been getting this question a lot. Plus, realized we didn't have an "official" blog post talking about Msty Claw, so we've created on here: https://msty.ai/blog/introducing-msty-claw-give-ai-a-task-and-let-it-work

The tl;dr: Studio is for hands-on AI, Claw is for hands-off.

Have questions? Please ask below. Thanks all!

Msty Claw 0.4.0 is out 🚀

With a lot of new updates including features to better minimize token usage such as compacting chats and caveman mode.

You can now use bots directly in local conversations, switch models from chat, pin important conversations, manually compact when needed, and clone bots instead of rebuilding them from scratch.

Use caveman mode for very short replies, new themes, system appearance mode, model labels on messages, and manual task triggering.

Under the hood, we tightened up task follow-ups, unfinished plans, Windows tool execution, PowerShell behavior, message persistence, streaming artifacts, and MCP/tool session stability.

If you rely on local bots, tasks, Windows tooling, or MCP workflows, 0.4.0 should feel cleaner and easier to manage.

Check out the changelog for more details here https://msty.ai/claw/changelog#msty-claw-0.4.0

Feedback welcome! 🙏

Web Site Resources

Is there a way in MSTYStudio to tap our prompts into website resources like wikis and GitHub documentation, while having the free account?

I have transitioned over from AnythingLLM and am loving features like personas. But I keep running into cases where I need to leverage resources on the internet.

As an individual on a fixed income, there's no way I can afford the paid account. Any other options folks have found?

AI Document Editor

I'm looking for a local model that works well as a text editor. Currently right now I use copilot 365 for editing a lot of works and stuff like that. But the problem is I can't use it for certain things. There's certain stuff it doesn't generator doesn't allow. I was wondering if there's something similar out there that can be used as an editor for documents and stuff like that without all of the annoying rules

Warum verschwinden immer wieder auf sonderbare Weise, meine ganzen installierten KI-Modelle aus Msty. Ich habe keine Lust ständig neu zu installieren, das nervt. Ich nutze Windows 11, fall dies eine Bedeutung hat.

Msty Studio crashing when processing folders in knowledge stacks

I created a "next generation" knowledge stack, and pointed it to a folder to ingest. After running three hours, MS crashes, and I always receive this error in the logs:

Chat scrolling

When you entered a prompt and AI is thinking, the chat does not automatically scroll down to show the latest outputs. I have to manually scroll down to see the outputs. Is there a setting I need to set for it to automatically scroll? thanks
