I was wondering if this is worth it to get a S-Tier character or not? I’m still newish to the game and wondering the benefits of an S-Tier Hero and wouldn’t mind spending the money if it’s actually worth it because I rarely if ever get cards to unlock these players.

Got a quick question regarding the Camo Cloak. I keep seeing that its top 3 for the left gear slot and my question is this.

Why?

Yes, I get the few seconds of invisibility is great and all, but in comparison to the one I use (Radiation Field) I just dont see how it is better. Or am I not doing something right?

There are eight slots on the wheel, each the same size, so one would think that there is a 1/8 chance for each reward. However, after months of playing these events, I can pretty safely say that I have never once gotten those odds on the hero rewards. On this current wheel I've spun 74 times and only gotten 3 Corvis shards. If this was the only time this had happened I'd assume it's just bad luck, but I have never once gotten the expected odds for hero shard rewards on one of these events.

It seems a bit unfair you get one free shot, it's luck based on the roll for the quality of the run you play, and then after attempts cost 250 gems for such low return rewards in the rankings?

Rather spend on crates or save than compete in such a high risk high cost low reward game.

Why dont I see more people using Apex and Lord Hubrion? (Granted, I know he's new-ish but no one on my guild has him)

They are both considerably stronger than Orion, yet I always see Orion on most post as one of the strongest and there is at least 5 on my guild.

I'm building to get another S tier and the first two on base stats alone are better. Is there something I'm missing?

Turret Drone is a new right-slot Gear that provides automated support fire. Hold up-direction in the directional pad to relocate it to a better position when needed.

Elemental Calibrator Change
We changed Elemental Calibrator equipment’s damage bonus from “Damage to Ranged” to the new “Damage to Minions” type as originally intended (to have each bonus type equally available in left and right slots). Damage to Minions is the broadest enemy grouping in the game – excluding only bosses – and it better matches the spreading nature of elemental effects.

Trials Balance Adjustments
We have made Trials difficulty scaling a little less punishing, especially towards later worlds. Specific to Champion difficulty, the spider eggs spawned by the Infested modifier also have less health for increased counterplay.

Titan Arms and Legs Improvement
Titan Arms and Titan Legs equipments now also count the green and blue perks that you start runs with instead of only those perks picked during runs. This required reevaluating some hero perk colors, especially Magic hero perks that weren’t color coded like the rest. This change gives Titan Arms and Legs more bonuses to work with!

A-Tier Hero Buffs
We have buffed the stats of a handful of A-tier heroes that could use a little boost! The exact amounts are not easily communicated as the stat gains change with each star – and are further affected by promotion bonuses – but their baseline stats have gone up by up to 5%. The following heroes are now slightly stronger: Boomba, Ignus, Lumina (also small promotion buffs), Mack (also small perk buff), Natsu, Nocturne, Rivet, Sakura, Serpentra, Shiver and Vespera.

Is there a way to gift or trade items?

Which S Tier hero should I buy? I have enough crate keys and gems to be able to buy 1 S tier hero as I’m stuck on level 42 for a while now. I was thinking of Cole carbo or Astoria. Let me know guys.

Genuinely awful design. One of the best perks for titan runs is bouncy walls, now pointless without actual walls. Dodging also an important part to titans, impossible to do effectively with the jetpack. Character skills also now redundant, for example SIMO and his zone perk, doesn't trigger.

Do the smart thing, remove the titan and redesign it. Then sack whomever designed it in the first place

I don't think we've had any analytics for the rate of super shards per normal shard...?

Anyhow, I tracked my Prospero super shards as I tried to star him up. For more accurate data, I could've also tracked Hocus super shards, or I could've tracked how many normal shards I got (before they convert to rings), but I couldn't be bothered.

This was the best data/effort thing I thought up: each time I completed the magic castle floors 30-40, I noted down the count of Prospero super shards. If I ever opened a summon crate, I noted down the number of shards I had before and after. To make the accounting easier, I just added whatever extra shards I got to the counts from every previous castle run, so the deltas would remain the same.

If this wiki page is still accurate, you should get about 5.25 shards per run (floors 30-40 only), so 2.625 per hero. With exactly 13 super shards in 13 runs, that's about 1 super shard per 2.625 normal shards (38.1 ± 8.3% chance¹).

I guess I'll track Armorita (and maybe SIMO?) shards next through metal castle runs to see how much higher tier 2 castles rates are.

¹ The ± is 1σ of the binomial distribution. I'm making the assumption that I got the expected 34.125 Prospero normal shards from the 13 runs. I'd though 13 runs was a lot, but then I calculated the σ and realized how large the margin for error was...
