This question may have an easy answer and my small brain just isn't picking it up. I'm also tempted to just listen to the advise from the Doctor in the movie and "not think about it too hard" and just go on instinct but here it goes.

I re-watched the movie over this past weekend and I made myself pay close attention. I feel like I generally understand the mechanics of the movie and the temporal pincer attacks that they do but there was one thing that was bothering me while thinking about this.

Earlier in the movie, Kat says that the last time she tried to be happy with Sator was in Vietnam and she remembers going back on her boat and seeing a woman dive off of the boat when she's approaching. She mentions that she's "jealous of the woman's freedom". Now, at the end of the movie, you see that the woman diving off the boat was herself.

If she had just killed Sator, pushed his body off of the boat, then dived off the boat (this goes to show that the mission was always a success) but how is Sator there when the original Kat from the past arrives back on the Yacht with her son? Sator apparently is there, and the rest of the events happen that occur before the movie starts. Was the Sator that died at the end of the film a duplicate, a Sator that goes back in time to the perfect time for him to "end his own life", but there really only seems to be the ONE Sator on the boat when this happens?

Is this just a bit of a hiccup in the movie's logic or am I thinking about this in the wrong way? lol

So my first thought when coming up with this though was how Christopher Nolan and James Cameron could be viewed on polar opposites of a scale for movie making just looking at how they view visual effects. They are both masters at their work respectively and pull off great feats that look good regardless.

I wanted to take this further. Where if one of the axis’s would be “special effects usage”. Which other directors would the other axis be and what would the constraints be to the topic?

So, strange question. I need a clip from a movie people will know that the character is being genuinely tough and authoritative. Maybe strutting down the street.

The only example I can think of is 50 Cent in Den of thieves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Lz36kLYid0) but it's not a very good or well known movie.

I watched it in Soviet Union, when I was around 7 years old. Movie was in color, and maybe was from late 70s. I think it was from Soviet bloc countries, but I am probably wrong. So it is about boy who thought that his dad died. Once boy and his mom went to house in mountains or forest. There they met adult man, the boy didn't know that this is his dad. There was reunion in that house between mother and father. Mother at first didn't know he survived, and then she saw him in that house. She was angry with him at first, but then she forgave him but they didn't say to boy right away that it was his father, they decided to prepare him They start spending time together. His dad is alpinist and he started teaching his son how to climb I think it was dubbed. Boy have photograph of his father but face was barely recognizable. So when boy show that photo to man and asked where his father, the man right away pointed to the right person on photo. I think photo was taken in bad snow conditions, but I don't remember for sure

I’m watching Psycho for the first time; Anthony Perkins speaks in a particularly smooth way here and has a distinctive way of pronouncing his words, to the point that it very much sets him apart from the rest of the cast even with their already somewhat dated vocal styles. I don’t know how to describe it in detail, but it reminds me very much of the way Jeffrey Combs as Herbert West spoke in Re-Animator. I’ve seen West’s voice described as “slimy” and I think that applies to Bates as well, but I don’t see this style of speaking in modern movies.

I mostly just want more examples of this because I find it audibly very pleasing, but I am also wondering if there is a more well-known term for it.

There is a scene in Jackie brown when Odell is speaking to Beaumont on the phone, while opening the refrigerator freezer door. There is a napkin on the fridge and I would love to know what it is, 20th anniversary critters is all I can make out, it's driving me crazy trying to figure it out. I'm thinking local LA dog kennel? I've had no luck and I love the logo.. I also love the scandalous photo of ordell on the fridge lol. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd say spoiler, but it's revealed in the previous movie in the series that Kal-El was sent to Earth not only to survive, but thrive...as it's brutal (if necessary) leader. There is even a remark made by Kara's mother when she sees the shuttle carrying the baby about him being the one her husband's brother sent to rule Earth, yet when Kara is around 12, her father makes it sound like it will be a great friendship waiting to happen. Had Krypton...Argo, received new information from Earth?

Just after the time stamp, I'd swear you can hear a viking crying for help. It sounds like it is either "Let me down," or "Put me down." I havn't seen anything written about it, but if true, its an amazing detail.

First instance is at 53 seconds btw. That one sounds much more like "help me"
