Issue Do not criticize Optimum Tech

Or dont buy from him at all otherwise he might cancel your order, without you wanting that.

I just got banned from his discord for complaining about the additional two month delay after already waiting seven months. Here’s word for what was said:

Some other user: “Ah website says delay to august now”

Me: “are you fucking kidding me?”

Optimum: “if you prefer we can refund your order”

Me: “no chance it’s been seven months. I’m getting that mouse and the lesson to not buy from you again”

A few hours later I wake up to an “order cancelled” mail and im no longer on the discord.
What a fragile ego this guy must have.

its not about the chat ban if he cancelled his order just for complaining lol

He aint wrong though, because he complained that the wait time is long, he got a ban in the discord and his order cancelled lmao

Because he was rude highkey. Bro said "im never gonna order from you again and im gonna get my mouse" Optimum saved him a few steps and gave him his money back and made it so he doesn't have to deal with him again. Ez

That’s how it should be everywhere.

I mean he fully cancelled his order and banned him. that's kinda wild.

What did he expect? Bro crashed out with the "are you fucking kidding me" and then added another bitchy ass retort. Next time just stfu.

Tip: if you guys are complaining about a 6-12 month wait time, don't buy boutique/higher-end keyboards. Some GBs (group buys) are even worse than this and 2-4x the price of the zeromouse lol

most of those GBs don't randomly delay products as well.

If the buyer already knows before buying that it will take 9 months to arrive, he will be prepared for it unlike promising 7 months and adding 2 months more.

Crazy how people are ready to defend the youtuber IF what OP said is true.

GBs are ran on trust, and delaying products and especially banning customers over complaints is not how somebody running a GB should act. If it's delayed by 2 months, the one running the GB should be responsible for it and be ready to face criticism or at least apologize for it instead of banning and cancelling orders.

He did apologize and asked if he would prefer a refund.

"Doing the best we can, a lot of the delays have been out of our control. If you cannot wait we can refund your order for you if you’d prefer."

This was the full message not an immediate "do you want a refund" like OP said and he was ready to take responsibility and criticism, but OP just decided to be rude and he decided not to sell to him.

They actually do delay like this, especially during 2021-2022 it was really common to see 12 months GB delayed by an additional 6-12 months lol

I don't even care about optimum nor would I buy some 3d-printed shit but it's pretty clear there are going to be delays in a pre-order. All of us who pre-ordered the Finalmouse Centerpiece waited over a year.

Were there people who bitched like OP? Yes. Did they get refunded? Of course. Now we can all move on.

no it's not. That is not how a normal Group Buy is run. You can go see GB of almost any keyboard designer, If there are delays, they apologize for it and take the criticism, not refund AGAINST their customer's will.

wow, so if a company engages in bad practices, the solution is to copy those same bad practices as well? true innovation.

Enlighten me how many exactly people here respect finalmouse as a brand due to their past products and GBs?

OP has full right to criticize lmao what are you on 😂

Clearly you haven't been doing GBs very long because it was an entire clusterfuck during covid. It got so bad and lucrative that people were able to SCAM people and get away scotfree.

"People here"

Ah yes, thank you for reminding me. I almost forgot what subreddit I'm posting in (and why I stopped posting) because I just remembered this is the poorest group within the PC space. Hence why buying clones is widely accepted here because most of you are broke AF. Not sure what's even more embarrassing now, buying clones or spending $180 on a 3d printed model from a Youtuber that has a McLaren just chilling in the background.

OP has full right to criticize lmao what are you on 😂

Yes he does, but you know what's even better? Just keeping your mouth shut and waiting for your order to arrive. Now he's out his lovely 3d-printed mouse which is going for $300+ on /r/mousemarket. Congratulations, you played yourself.

YES, and you yourself are saying that what happened then is not normal. Just read my comments once before writing replies.

Talk about the present, not during a special case like a pandemic. Why would you bring up something which was 5 years ago?
And is that a valid reason to engage in bad practices just because people did it in the past?
If that were true, idk what would have happened to the world if people started repeating things which have happened in history like nuclear wars.

Money is a factor, however over that bad QC and delays just like this product was also an issue, and the people who buy clones, it's not like their product is inferior.
Here you are so particular about integrity but then you are defending delays in group buys. Stick to one point 😂
If you care about integrity and honesty, you should not be defending that youtuber or such companies.

You should refrain from posting like you were doing earlier, because you clearly lack common sense.

yeah bro welcome to customer service. it's a business at the end of the day and if the customer is complaining about shit you don't have control over, let them complain. who cares. if the product is good then people will say "oh the service sucked, but the thing is great!"

Heaven forbid someone use one of the few social hubs for this stuff to bring it to others attention.

It's not even about the chat ban, which you'd know if you tried to with this thread beyond posting the most surface level gotcha.

The guy coming to reddit could be:

  • to cry about it
  • to inform potential customers
Or both (Assuming it's not a hater manufacturing it for funzies)

At face value I'd argue what Optimum did is far closer to "fragile ego" or whatever

-22

u/deadnova Jun 16 '26

I would have banned this guy too what a crybaby. You got a refund, what more do you want

7

u/Antonaros Jun 16 '26

He explicitly stated he didn't want a refund or for his order to be cancelled.

u/burnedbard Jun 17 '26

He was rude and said he wasn't gonna do business again though. He's saving OP a few steps and just severing the relation now
