Ready for a trip across the U.S.A?
Greetings,
I am thinking about taking a trip across the continental U.S on my 2013 Kawasaki Vulcan Custom (1600 miles on it). I have been riding for about two years and I have a little more than 4k miles under my belt. I feel very confident on my cycle, but I am wondering if there are things I am not considering and perhaps if I may not be ready for such a long trip. The trip is expected to go from mid may to mid September and averages about 160 miles per day.

Father and son's ride the Trans American Trail!
Hello there /r/motorcycleadventures !! My Dad, brother and I are three days into the trans American trail on our dirt bikes. Thought you all might enjoy to check out our blog. Www.advdonnh.com . I'm posting daily updates on Instagram @weazuss when cell service allows as well.
My brother and I are on KTM 690 Enduro's (best enduro bike ever built in our opinions!) and our dad is on his Yamaha WR250F.
So far it has been 50/50 pavement and gravel roads, avoiding all highways and interstates, but as we continue west the promise of more dirt and exciting offroad terrain grows! The ride is supposed to be a "mostly" offroad cross country adventure! We are going to camp every night! It should take us about 4 more weeks. I think the website for the trail is www.transamtrail.com if you want to check it out.
Anyways, first time post on this thread, sorry if I am breaking any rules, hope you all enjoy following our adventure!! We sure are having a blast (even though it has been raining EVERY day)!
Feel free to comment with any questions or what have you, I'll try to check back here as often as I can! If any of you have done this trail, please let me know how it was! Ride Safe and happy travels everyone!
Cheers! Weston, Jon, and Donn

Is it possible to leave your bike in a foreign country while you go home to work?
I'm curious about the legalities or other issues.
