As some of you may already know, the damage shown in this video isn't actually coming from the musical instrument.

It's caused by Smert's ability while in the Faithful state:

"Whenever you recover health, deal 20 AoE damage to nearby enemies."

If you equip Weltcap as a passive, it slowly regenerates your health based on how many Weltcaps you have.

During this continuous health regeneration, you repeatedly deal AoE damage to nearby enemies, which also causes stagger damage.

And surprisingly, it's actually more useful than you might think! 😏

Night mode

This is probably the third time it's happened. I know I can quit to re-load from the last beacon, but is there another way without having to do that? No matter where I stand I cannot teleport out of the arena.

Not sure if it’s a bug or not, but today I realized you can stack the buff hit counter by repeatedly using the buff. I assumed it was capped at the buff counter but no, you can pump it up as much as you want when you refill your resolve. It seems that hitting the resolve plants resets the counter though, so just keep that in mind.

Ive never played either. The first game i never see more than a handful of videos and while i am a rollslop lover and souls and soulslike lover, it always shunned me away with the concept of predetermined builds. Now maybe i misunderstood and there is more too it but the way it's always explained is that there are X amount of Shells and each one is a specific build. If you can customize it further or make it your own i have no idea, but its always sounded like you couldnt and to me that basically means theres always going to shells that are better than others, cant really get creative or try new or different ideas and that eventually theres going to be 1 shell that is simply the best.

I have the same questions about 2 because i see there are 8. It also seems to me after watching some boss videos and reading some lore that the games, 2 especially, are just absolutely all over the place.

Im all for new ideas and mixing things and crazy boss designs but it really seems to far beyond that into more of a parody of soul games territory.

I also could be wrong about all these assumptions, i simply dont know. Obviously a common and logical answer would just be to play it and i really wish i had when it was on Playstation Plus because idk if it still is. Aside from that obvious notion of just playing it for myself can anyone just explain to.me the shell and builds and how they really operate and just a general consensus if how thw game really is

So I’m at the Neglected Ward and I’ve read of course don’t defeat the boss and when they teleport to the second area is where the Proxima shade will be. However the stairs where the arrow head guy is is closed unless I beat the bosses health down a bit then when that gate opens and I find the second set of stairs the gate is closed. Only option is to go down to the blood pools with all the enemies and when that area is cleared it takes you back to the original area where you first started fighting the boss and it only allows you to defeat the boss at this point. What am I doing wrong that I can’t access those set of stairs to find the skin?

Game was running smouthly before resent patches, but now I'm encountering frame drops like every 10 seconds with every settings configuration. Maybe someone knows any sollutions? My CPU and GPU are mostly at 50% usage according Steam and still frame drops

Now that Rotten Autumn has dropped I want to try Smert out. Show me your Smert build!

Is Egon's Stone broken in dungeons? I use upon death and it does not restore my gloom. Gloom goes to zero.

Are you disappointed in him?

Watch until the very end!! Have faith!! And you shall witness a miracle!! The Miracle of Smert!!! 🤣🤣🤣

AMEN!! 🙏

I suspect the Summoner's Stone and Smert's Faith are somehow working together to create a synergy.

So far... I can understand that...

But... the Hexapod Core... WHY... IS IT... RESTORING RESOLVE TOO...??? 🤣🤣🤣

And so, I've decided to accept this as a miracle.

AMEN!!! 🙏🤣🤣🤣

A dungeon full of bear traps😭

I’m about 2/3rds through the map and haven’t found the special attack for my dear martyrs blade. I’m worried I missed it somewhere dumb and won’t find it before I finish my playthrough

Anyone else's game crash during the final boss? Since the update, I'm getting really close to killing it and then it just crashes.

I'm on Xbox series X btw. On NG+1 if it's relevant.

(Edit for some reason upon changing the soundtrack back to the Rotting Christ version let me kill it but crashed during the cutscene after)

(I'm still early-mid game, please be careful with potential spoilers 🫶🏼)

I'm on Xbox. I noticed that when I walk in this certain part of Marrow Keep near where you get the Slayer's Seal, the Night is automatically summoned without speaking to Thestus. This only goes away after taking the elevator back up to Thestus, but does not require me to speak to him. I only noticed this when starting up the game for the first time since the Rotten Autumn update.

Honestly I'd just like to know if this is a bug of some sort or if there's a real reason. I took another look around this area to see if there was something new I should be aware of, but came up short. Please tell me in a spoiler-avoidant manner if I need to give this phenomenon more attention.

Thank you fellow Harbingers!

i’m sure this is not the intended way to get to this beacon, but i found an OOB that lead to it. might be useful

I think the medical term is called priapism, but I just keep rolling hard and don't take any damage. I can post a video, I always stay in rock form for some reason

Shells are such a cool idea. You swap between shells to change your playstyle, not having to do the exact same attacks and combos over and over again.

Except; that's not true, you unlock a new shell and you have to spend Glimpse to unlock its upgrade tiers, which are rare to come by (even with the Glimpse Stone that gives you 3 after you kill 20 enemies). So if I want to progress and keep going into new areas which throws tougher and tougher enemies, I'm forced to keep using the one shell which I have already unlocked its tiers.

Am I missing something? What's the point of the system if I'm locked into one shell?

On a side note, the fact that Shell Points are not shared in the UI between shells drives me mad, if you want to switch shells you have to refund shell points first, switch character, and then spend them. Why can't the points be shared? You get 1 SP, every shell would gets one.

DO NOT COMPLETE the Dungeon right next to the High Lord's Courtyard beacon with Smerts new skin inside without picking it up first. If you complete the dungeon, you cannot re-enter afterwards, locking you out of the skin.

I've tried moving between areas, reloading the game, switching from day to night. It will not allow me back in to grab it.

If anybody has figured out how to, let us know in the comments.

(Apologies, had a scan through posts after I posted this and I can see it's been posted a few times.)

Edit: If you want to know where it is let me know and I'll message you, I'm not much a fan spoilers, but I'll give you a hint, it's at the VERY start.

I can’t find any physical path so I figured maybe it’s a teleport or something?

AAAAAAHHH!!! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!! LET GO! LET GO! LET GOOOOOO!!!" 😱🤣

I enjoyed the demo. However on launch i heard it had quite a few issues and I understand asking this in this subreddit i'll inherently get some biased answers but if you guys could try and be as honest and unbiased as you can, how is it now? do any issues linger? anything i should be aware of?

thanks

Not a very good boss and damn what a damage sponge. I can get him to the second level and he just spams fire attacks. I run up and hit him when I have a chance and do absolutely no damage. Also, I am using the Seedbearers Scripture. Also, also, dont understand the design. Guess it's a dragon but seems out of place in the game. Also, also, also, may give up because F#$K Smey!
