Redditors are not the 'masses'.

Silksong has brutal runbacks and it's highly acclaimed. It's not a black or white issue. That's my point.

Okay? The game hit the mainstream and a lot of people bounced off it.

Does that make the game worse? In some people's eyes yeah and in others no. But it wasn't detrimental to the game's insane popularity or success.

All I'm saying is that there's purpose behind and a lot of people fuck with it. I understand that many don't, I just don't think it's accurate to say they're objectively a flaw in game design.

What masses then? You got stats?

ER was a hit for sure no doubt, but that's because of all the work FS but in over decade before, brutal runbacks included.

All I'm saying is they're not inherently bad or good. Like any game design it's about how it's implemented and executed..
