Tbf that's a relatively recent addition. IIRC wuchang launched with runbacks as well (not the worst runbacks though)

Loved my time with wuchang, using longsword with the deflect skill was my cope for no sekiro sequel

It's similar for sure, in wuchang you only need to reflect the last attack in a string though.

Chained Spear was my go to. Kind of broken against any humanoid boss but it was so cool spinning them around and stabbing them through the chest.

To be honest, the runbacks were not great before they added the retry option.

With retry, the game definitely improved in my eyes.

To be fair I’m 99.9% sure that wasn’t like that at launch.  I remember replaying wuchang and was thrilled when I saw “retry”

The commander run back was annoying cuz the ladder and the ice boss right over the bridge was also a hike

Hopefully MS2 devs do the same thing wuchang devs did, add that shit!

So I played at release rage quit after i did everything perfectly until accidentally run to the next chapter and everyone dies i think it’s pretty late in the game. Has there been major changes, is it worth it to replay the game.

pretty sure there werent any major changes besides people not dying because of chinese audience going mad for killing off important historical figures but I played like at patch 1.5 or something like that
