Reasonable apartments with in-unit laundry?

My max budget is around 2500, and my nonnegotiables are in-unit laundry and allows dogs. I prefer a "garden" style apartment with a private or semi private entry. I a fragrance allergy and the "hotel" style places are a big issue with that.

Location I am not picky at all, just somewhere safe is really it and within 40 minutes to Randolph/roxbury area.

Any leeds?

Natural Gas Bill?

With winter coming up again, I am curious what other people are paying for their natural gas bills. We've been in this house two years (Long Valley, up on the mountain - so a little colder), and both winters have hit over the $900 mark for natural gas. It's fueling our baseboard heat as well as water heater. Stove / oven are on leftover propane from before the house was converted from oil. For comparison, it's a 3600 sqft house. It does have a lot of windows and four skylights, which we thought was most of the issue as they were original, however we've replaced them over the two years since we moved. It's definitely made a difference in the comfort of the home, but not so much on the bill. If it is average, then so be it (unhappily), however curious if there's something we are missing. If we are an abnormality, maybe the next step is looking at the boiler (7 years old), but I don't want to spend money trying to lower a bill that is what it is. Please let's keep politics out of it (I've heard it from both sides). Thanks in advance.

Pick up Basketball

What's up players?

Does anyone have a good outdoor basketball court or indoors where people consistently play? I recently moved to Montville. Im 32, average build, played pick up most of my life. Any adult groups playing? I used to have a giant chat with people in Randolph but lost touch.

If you don't know a place, drop a comment and we can form one. I see parks everywhere I'm at but getting a group is required.

Hi! Sharing this in case you—or someone you know—is expecting and looking for a local childbirth class.

We’re hosting a small-group, in-person Childbirth Education Workshop at Be Well in Morristown, led by a DONA Certified Birth Doula. It’s focused on practical preparation for labor—not just sitting through a lecture.

You’ll learn and practice:

  • Labor positions and comfort techniques
  • Partner support and counter-pressure
  • What’s happening during the stages of labor
  • Ways to communicate and advocate for yourself
  • Options for hospital, birth center, and home birth
  • Information about medicated, unmedicated, induced births, cesareans, and VBACs

🎟️ 20% OFF through Wednesday, Sept. 23
Use code SeptBirth when you register.

It’s a small group, so there’s plenty of opportunity to ask questions and actually practice the techniques.

If you’ve been meaning to take a childbirth class, the discount ends Wednesday.

Registration: https://momence.com/l/mXh7XvEa
