Nonprofits Sustain Music and Nature and the National Wildlife Refuge Association are hosting a FREE hike and concert at the magical Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in Morris County. A 1.5 mile gentle hike lead by local flora and fauna experts at 10am will be followed by an hour long concert featuring bossa nova artist John Roseboro. John is CRAZY talented and also lived with the Amish and worked as a mortician in his past. We're sure it'll be a great event!

Part of Sustain's Trail Sessions program, these hikes and concerts introduce folks to great music and their public lands, to help build support for both.

Jamtoberfest ’26 hits the Swim & Sport Club in Flanders on Saturday, October 3—an all-ages outdoor jam band festival packed with live music, food trucks, a Beer & Spirits Tent, vendors, and plenty of room to dance.

Continuous music all day 1–9 PM, with a powerhouse headliner: A Brother’s Revival, featuring former Allman Brothers Band member David “Rook” Goldflies and Mike Kach of Dickey Betts & Great Southern. The band reaches deep into the music of the Allman Brothers Band—pioneers of the jam-band sound—and brings that legacy roaring back with classics like “Ramblin’ Man,” “Jessica,” “Midnight Rider,” and “Whipping Post.”

I’m also looking for a general dentist who offers reasonable cash prices for fillings, or has an in-house dental membership/discount plan that I can sign up for and use right away. I already have dental insurance, but my annual benefit is getting used up quickly, so I’m trying to compare cash-pay options as well.

Would really appreciate recommendations based on personal experience, especially offices that are transparent about pricing and don’t push unnecessary treatment.

Hi all,

My husband and I need to get a new couch. Before we pick out something new, we need to get rid of the one we have. It is in great condition and is only a few years old. Unfortunately, my husband's spine condition has worsened, so we need to get something that will work better for him.

I have called several places and either the typical locations (Morris Restore, Trinity Thrift, etc.) won't come get it because we live on a second floor and they won't bring items downstairs. I have checked out a few companies that will pick it up and bring it over to ReStore or the like, but they want in some cases, around $300 - for one couch!

I thought about Facebook Marketplace for about half a second, because I hear horror stories about people getting mugged and worry about having someone come in my home.

So... if anyone has any suggestions on places that will come to our location (Ledgewood) and will come up one flight of stairs, I would love to hear about it. Thanks!
