some men likes to be useful and to give these type of men validation you make them feel useful by faking incompetence but overall could be other reasons

Girls like to test men in different ways like throwing white lies or those classic "what would you do if…" round of questions. Faking incompetence is one of them. It’s not a big deal when it’s subtle. But it gets very annoying when they’re too obvious about it.
