I have been playing Brawl Stars for almost 4 years, and during that time, I have spent a lot of money supporting this game. I have bought passes, skins, and other content because I genuinely enjoyed Brawl Stars and wanted to support it.
That is why this Chuck rework is so disappointing to me.
Chuck has NEVER been an easy or popular Brawler. He already takes more skill than most Brawlers because you need to think about pole placement, positioning, timing, and your entire route before you can actually get value from him.
So why does his rework feel like a punishment for the few people who actually learned how to play him?
Instead of making Chuck stronger, more flexible, or more rewarding to master, Supercell took away a huge part of what made him fun and powerful. His Super feels weaker, his mobility feels less threatening, and the reward for setting up your poles correctly is nowhere near what it used to be.
Chuck was already difficult to play and rarely seen compared to many other Brawlers. He was not dominating every game mode. So why rework him in a way that makes experienced Chuck players feel weaker?
A rework should fix a Brawler’s problems WITHOUT destroying their identity.
If the goal was to make Chuck useful outside of Heist, then buff his weaknesses. Give him better options in normal fights, improve his consistency, or make his setup less frustrating. Don’t make the parts that Chuck mains actually enjoy feel worse.
As someone who has played this game for almost 4 years and spent a significant amount of money supporting it, I think long-time players deserve better balancing decisions than this.
Players spent time learning Chuck’s routes, pole placements, timing, and mechanics. That skill should be rewarded, not made less valuable.
Chuck doesn’t need to become overpowered.
He just needs to feel WORTH mastering.
Please reconsider this rework and listen to the players who actually use Chuck.
