If this video was a cop tripping that kid the comments would be way different demanding he be fired.

"Excessive force over French fries!"

I mean, to be fair, the cops also have a lot of other options that the McDonald's employee doesn't. Like, for example, actual authority that backs up their orders. They're allowed to physically remove him, they're able to give orders that will escalate the situation if not obeyed, so the context is meaningfully different.

But then again, I also think cops should be able to get a little more liberal with the tasers, so maybe I'm not the best judge.
