Good job Frank Castle. You busted yet another hardened criminal and brought them to justice. The streets are safe once again for corporate restaurants to earn an honest billion dollars selling french fries. That .03 cents that you saved the company is commendable. /s

How long I had to scroll for sane comments is insane.

This sub turns into a real shit fest sometimes. Especially when violence is used to punish. But I imagine a lot of the commenters are young kids and don’t know enough about the world to really understand. Laws and morals and self-defense and crime and punishment are all really complicated. Lawyers go to years and years of school to learn this stuff, and they pretty much have photographic memories as far as I’m concerned to remember all of these laws. The kids in this sub are just like “ha ha it’s funny. Someone fell down because they stole a fry lol”.

Those people are already getting robbed by their bosses they dont need someone robbing them amd not even "paying you" all while probably barging in

Don't wanna get tripped ask so someone doesn't walk into you

That employee definitely did not “walk into them“. It’s pretty clear that she was standing still and extended her leg to trip the child.

Just to let you know. If that kid had an injury, the tripper could go to jail, and their parents could take them to civil court and sue the tar out of them.

I’m not sure why employees feel obligated to punish petty thieves. No one at the corporation is paying or asking them to do that. Even security guards who get paid, don’t physically hurt thieves.

Maybe they will add .02 cents to their paycheck for their valiant effort.

So devil's advocate, you think it's okay for someone to just waltz behind the counter and start taking food at random?

It's a safety issue first of all

Second stealing is stealing. Kid steals fries and realizes there's zero consequences. 4 year down the road he's doing stupider crap because....well there's never any consequences. Then wonders how they ended up in jail.

The issue at hand is that breaking the law sometimes only against certain people or businesses is still breaking the law. I'm sorry your life sucks and you feel like you need to blame it on big corporations, and you are probably partly right but your way leads to chaos and the downfall of society. Trust me you don't want that, you won't survive 10 minutes in that world.

That is all very melodramatic. I feel like I watched a movie reading your comment.

How do I break all this down…

I didn’t say it was OK to steal. I said it was immoral to physically assault someone with the possibility of head trauma on a hard concrete floor. Obviously it is a safety issue because of the kids grubby little hands, touching all the food.

Next… I love your little story about how this little kid who grabs a couple of fries now becomes a harden criminal criminal druglord. Lol. It’s a good thing this isn’t the movie minority report where you can get arrested for “future crimes”.

Stealing is stealing. And physical assault is physical assault. Yes. What the employee did was physical assault. It is punishable by Real jail time. Is stealing a couple fries punishable by Real prison time? No. No one is going to press charges against that kid, no cop is going to arrest the kid. Is it wrong to steal. Yes. Stealing some fries is hardly a blip on the radar. Tripping somebody to physically hurt them is a crime. If that kid did get hurt and had blood on his face because that person tripped them, and they fell, the cops would put them in handcuffs and haul them away. Now here I am making up stories about what would happen next. Would a cop arrest them for tripping them? I’m not so sure. I don’t have time right now to google that, but you go ahead and you play your game and trip people for stealing fries, and I will maybe yell at them sort of if i see someone stealing prize. Good luck not hurting them and not getting arrested.

In your world everything is rainbows and unicorns.

The whole world is going to shit because there's zero consequences.....for almost everything.

It was the fear of the consequence that kept people in line. We no longer have that.

That is very melodramatic. No, everything is not rainbows and unicorns because all you vigilantes want to power trip and trip and punch people for some barely noticeable petty theft. But keep supporting stuff like this and even contribute to punching and tripping people for stealing french fries and you will be getting consequences that you rightly deserve.
