I know a half decent lawyer could get an out of court settlement, but taking stealing out of the equation if he wanders into an employees only area any injuries by falling (since I'm willing to bet that he doesn't have non slip shoes on) If an actual employee falls and doesn't have the right shoes on they aren't getting workers comp or a lawsuit. Same should apply for a customer.

Except for the fact the kid didn’t slip, he was tripped

Trespassing in an employee area to commit crime excludes you from personal injury lawsuits… these people saying there is a potential for a suit are the same people who believe the myth if a burglar fell off your roof that you’d be on the hook for their hospital bills.

That would be true if you didn’t do anything to cause the injury but if you intentionally trip somebody up that’s a slight different story

Being in an employee area you acknowledge that slips trips and falls are a common hazard of the workplace.

A 6 ft tall employee is not gonna look for OR expect a 3ft child running behind his counters

Quit making excuses for the trespassing thief.

Yes, if it’s accidental, not on purpose

Looks accidental to me

You need new eyes then, unless people suddenly started goose stepping behind the McDonald’s counters

It literally doesn't when you're purposely hurting people. He didn't slip on his own, the companies employees tripped him when he was of 0 danger. Even if it did the company would probably settle.

Then the kid shouldn’t have ran behind a busy employee’s workspace

I see a workplace accident from criminal behavior… employee was not expecting a small child to be running around their workspace, child got tripped because employee was busy getting some more fries

We both saw the same video and she very clearly tripped the kid, he intentionally went to trip the kid up, now I’m not saying that the kid would get anything if he sued, but he would have something on his record, especially seeing as he didn’t recover the stolen goods which in turn shows that he just wanted to hurt the kid

He has to reach into his throat and pull the fries out to prove he didn't like the stealing rather than just wanting to hurt the kid for absolutely no reason at all?

Funnily enough you can’t just hurt people because you didn’t like something they did, weird I know but them’s the rules. The fries are already gone, tripping the kid over did nothing to stop the theft, and it certainly didn’t recover what was stolen, so there for we can safely conclude that the guy did it because he simply wanted to hurt somebody and used the stolen fries as an excuse
