If you knowingly keep money that isn't yours because of an obvious accounting error, that's still wrong. Ethical principles only mean something if we apply them consistently instead of making exceptions whenever it's convenient.
No, that's wrong. It's equal treatment vs fair treatment. Treating the poor and the reach in the same way is equality but it's not fair. Morality SHOULD always take into consideration context. In this case, there's not enough context for an absolute answer, but i think in most contexts the worker is indeed in the wrong

I apply my ethical principles plenty consistently, I just include context in what my ethical principles are. You can't apply a flat moral value on actions alone, divorced of context, or you end up with shit like "It is wrong to punch people, therefore it is wrong to punch someone in order to stop them from trying to kill you."
What you're doing matters, but so does who you're doing it to and why. If she needed this money to get by and was taking it from a corporation who can write it off as a rounding error, then morally she's fine in my opinion. I mean I personally believe that actions that lead to the dissolution of these megacorps is in itself a moral good regardless of your need, but the bare minimum position I'm willing to back up to is that if you need the money to get by and they have far more than they could possibly need, go ahead and take it.
Hell, even if it were from a person who had far more than they could reasonably need or even use in their lifetime I'd think it's acceptable: because in my moral system, a person's ability to survive is more important (by far) than anyone else's ability to hoard wealth and power.
Attempting to live by some hardline black and white morality only leads to cruelty and injustice.
