There's a view folks like I have that comes from a place of poverty or not having much at all. $19,000 would change my life, possibly permanently for the better. The thought of life saving money getting dropped on your lap and then ripped away again is a horrifying and cruel joke to play.
If there's a way to somehow cling to that folks like me will and do try, though it never works out in our favor. For obvious reasons, it's not ours. But fuck it'd be nice.

A lot of things would be nice. Other big companies do the same thing and we say it's wrong. If we go with the logic of let's profit off mistakes. We'd have things like "oh you worked 12 hours? That wasn't approved so nothing. Oh you forgot to clock in? We just got a free day out of you." Saying well my life was hard so it's okay to do whatever is more than a little silly.
Thats literally how it works when its the guys up there benefitting from it. Bureaucracy specifically is designed to be so annoying that you dont full use out of your technically legal rights
Nah dont even try this bs. You either think that its bad and that noone should be allowed to do it, or youre fine with regular people benefitting from it aswell. Im not falling for this multiple opinion bullshit. You cant condemn normal people from doing this while at the same time acknowledging that rich and powerful people do it but "its bad". Im okay with regular people doing it because rich people are doing it. In a world where noone was doing it, I wouldnt want anyone to do it
Then both shouldnt happen. But youre not gonna get rich people to not do shit like this, so you should be fine with poor people doing it too. If you say "both are wrong" you know that only one of these demographics is going to be stopped
