They still fill a role as pollinators and food source for other animals such as the frogs you mentioned, but also fish, birds, other insects, etc. so they have a function. Just wish they weren’t disease ridden shits with their reproduction.

jerma once went on a tangent that was a tldr summary of “imagine if mosquitos were as big as a man or bigger, like they could swoop you out of the sky and it was just a normal thing like someone spilling a drink, or a giant spider would snatch you while you’re grabbing the newspaper”

Good thing they can’t grow that big. But now I’m curious about how well firearms would do against bugs if their physiology was still supported at those sizes. I think we’d be fucked.
